Coming Back Home

During the 80s my interest in electronic music awake.

in 1982,    Nova created a masterpiece called "Aurora"

it was my intention to learn myself to play this music also.

this version is not completely what I wanted but it was   fun and challenging for me to do so.
In this version I wanted to weave a little bit of scottish bagpipe sound in it.

Nova was a Dutch electronic music band, who reached the number 1 position in the Dutch Top 40 in 1982 with the instrumental "Aurora".
The group consisted of Rob Papen, Ruud van Es and Peter Kommers. Nova had a hit with ''Aurora'' in 1982. Later that year, the group had another hit with ''Sol'', where Nova also made a single of ''Ariane (The Traveller)''. After Nova's success, the group continued only under the name of Peru. Nova was the "commercial" branch of Peru. Under this name, the group had a modest hit with the number "Africa" in 1988. Rob Papen and Ruud van Es are still active in producing music, but no longer under the name Nova.

For this composition, I use the Tembung scale (C, Db, F, G, Ab.) is the second main pentatonic mode of the pelog scale and is obtained by treating the third and seventh of the pelog scale as auxiliaries. Tembung has a very similar profile to the Japanese kumo hoshi koto scale. Origen: Indonesia. Used in Gamelan music.

I have just lost my mother last month, (October, 2023 ), the last one of both parents. In the week before her passing I just recorded the most beautiful music ever, because
I wanted to produce a cd with my music for her. but she will not hear it now... I am very upset and sad about her passing, and tired because of all the work
