Timeless Wanderlust

The Five Dhyani Buddhas are icons of Mahayana Buddhism. These transcendent Buddhas are visualized in tantric meditation and appear in Buddhist iconography.

The five Buddhas are Aksobhya, Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, Ratnasaṃbhava, and Vairocana. Each represents a different aspect of enlightened consciousness to aid in spiritual transformation.

Often in Vajrayana art, they are arranged in a mandala, with Vairocana in the center. The other Buddhas are depicted in each of the four directions (north, south, east, and west).

Each Dhyani Buddha has a specific color and symbol which represent his meanings and the purpose for meditating on him. Mudras, or hand gestures, are also used in Buddhist art to distinguish one Buddha from another and convey the appropriate teaching.

I created this track for an FL Studio music competition. The vocal sample used sings the following:

oṃ gīrdevyai ca vidmahe sarasvatyai ca dhīmahi tanno vāṇī pracodayāt

'Om, may we gain the knowledge of Gīr (a name for the goddess Sarasvatī); may we meditate on Sarasvatī, may she inspire our intellect.'

gīrvāṇavidyādhīśinī vāṇī viṣṇuvilāsinī jiṣṇuguṇe

'She who is the ruler of heavenly knowledge, the speech (Vāṇī), the one fond of Vishnu, and full of qualities of victory.'

This is a hymn or praise dedicated to the goddess Sarasvatī, the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and art, seeking her blessings for inspiration and intellectual strength.

According to the Solfeggio theory, 417 Hz strengthens personal identity by cleansing negative influences and traumatic events from the past. It is said to offer an inexhaustible source of energy, empowering listeners to positively reshape their lives. The binaural soundscape further enhances the meditative experience, enveloping the listener in a soothing auditory journey that calms the mind and uplifts the spirit.

This track is my entry for Royal Road to Victory—not just in competition, but in spirit. It’s a message of encouragement for those in the U.S. facing difficult times under Trump. Even in uncertainty, music can remind us that better days are always ahead. Sometimes, the road to victory isn’t a battle—it’s a dream we choose to believe in.

A slowly evolving soundscape built upon an extreme time-stretching of the iconic Amen Break, reduced to a hypnotic pulse at 15 BPM. Randomized sine waves drift unpredictably across the stereo field, intertwining with warm Lo-Fi chords and subtle, reverb-drenched motifs. The entire composition breathes through vast, spacious reverbs, blurring the line between structure and chaos, melody and texture. A meditative yet unpredictable sonic journey, where sound dissolves into time itself.

Echoes of a Distant Break

Floating Towards Nowhere is an ambient journey that floats somewhere between dark ambient and new age. The track is built around a single sustained note at 417 Hz, which remains continuously audible throughout the piece, as per the challenge rules.

The core sound was created with a pad-like synth voice, enriched with spatial movement using the Ambeo Orbit plugin to create a binaural soundscape — best experienced on headphones.

Instead of going for a rhythmic or dance-based approach, I decided to embrace stillness and drift, allowing textures and subtle modulations to evolve over time. The result is a slowly shifting sonic space that invites the listener to surrender to the present moment… or perhaps to float, endlessly, towards nowhere.
