My music defies genre. Songwriting for me is Therapy! I yearn to play with words and lay them gently on top of melodies. Like you need oxygen, I need music!
Music is the reason I am alive,  it literally saved my life! 
I was filled with deep sorrow and depression, constant ruminating and panic attacks while my kids watch me slowly fall apart. I wanted so desperately to be healed, to be happy and smile again but I could not see the sun. 
Then one day, brightly shining, there it was.
And....... there was I ........... wide open for true love. 💖

On April 24. 2022, Something magical happened that morning in 2022.
I was finally out of bed feeling an unexpected joy, so headed downstairs to home studio and my son "Azad the Great" great was recoding. I asked him, what are you and how do you do that? He replied "You really wanna know? I hope you're ready cause I'm going to empower you Mom" then he proceeded to teach me to look for "free tracks" on Youtube, he then opened "LogicPro" and taught me how to drag the beat in and press record and to bounce my songs to my iPhone. 
He gave me one rule: "Never leave till you are finished with the whole song" and well, I defiantly follow that rule. But he doesn't. lol
As days passed Azad saw my potential and my song list grow to 26 songs in days, so.. he told me create this SoundCloud to save my ideas in one place, in case someone should be interested in working with me.
And......
Just like that, here I am. 

I Write and Compose all the melodies myself in my home kitchen studio. I have no idea what I am doing and the free tracks on youtube are limited. 
My Ultimate goal is Sync Licensing so if you know any music supervisors slide in my DM!

I'd love to have some new tracks and work with a Producer with a studio and experience working with singers/vocals.

🎵 I can write to any track. As a top liner I have written over 1000 song as of Spring 2025

Quentin PETITEVILLE alias DJ YAK'Ô a toujours voulu composer de la musique tel un rêve d’enfant, en pensant que ce n’était pas possible.

Il a découvert le jeu vidéo « Music Creation for PlayStation » début des années 2000 et il lui a été offert des suites logicielles tel, que les eJay sur PC.

Une crise de créativité et d’inspiration s’est vite fait ressentir : cela venait sûrement d’un manque de culture musicale, à l’époque, et l’utilisation d’outils trop simplistes.

Puis est venu l’arrivé de l’Internet haut-débit, Quentin a pu donc partager ses compositions sur son site web et sur les forums dédiés à la Musique Assistée par Ordinateur : C’est la naissance du surnom DJ YAK’Ô.

Suite à la réception de critiques et de discussions très enrichissantes avec les différents membres, son style a pu se peaufiner avec le temps.

Des événements, plus ou moins heureux, dans sa vie personnelle l’ont obligé à pouvoir exprimer ses émotions intérieures. Ceci, lié à l’utilisation d’outils plus professionnels l’amène à vouloir travailler plus en profondeur le son et la structure de ses morceaux.

La découverte d’artistes indépendants, de groupes classiques de la musique électronique, tel que le groupe allemand Kraftwerk, pour ne citer que lui, ou alors les musiques de jeux vidéos, lui ont ouvert la voie de la créativité. Sa famille l’incitant à poursuivre dans cette voie.

Jusqu’à maintenant, il s’est contenté de publier ces musiques uniquement sur son site web mais aujourd’hui, il souhaite faire découvrir son travail à un nombre croissant de monde.

Il travaille seul actuellement car il s’agit pour lui de pouvoir « faire parler » ses émotions.

A non-singer songwriter! Writing a series of songs (Double Album) about western philosophy and philosophers while trying to keep them rockin'. These song explore western philosophy inspire by Nigel Warburton's Book "A Little History of Philosophy" and I started writing them to aid my poor muddle memory.

Picked up the Electric Guitar during lockdown after 20 years and haven't looked back - why did I put it away!

Looking at recruiting a proper singer and other band members to make live music once again.

Writing music and playing guitars (inc bass) keeping me sane in a mad world!

Main influence is 70s Rock, but into blues, soul, funk and jazz. I also play the spanish guitar classical guitar and dabble with the ukelele!
