Warme Sonnenstrahlen finden ihren Weg durch die halb zugezogenen Gardinen. Das fühlt sich gut an. Der pelzige Geschmack im Mund erinnert an schöne Stunden. MIt einem breiten Grinsen schlendere ich in die Küche. Die kalten Fliesen stören nicht. Was nun? Kaffee und Kippe! Ich werde es bereuen! :) Der erste Schluck aus dem Becher ist wahrer Genuss. Das Feuerzeug ist auch griffbereit. Wunderbar! Hhmmm, gar nicht so schlecht! Irgendwas fehlt....Ah, da war doch was. Ich drücke auf Play und fange an ... !

Manchmal drohe ich in der komplexen, verwobenen Welt zu ertrinken, so als würde sie mich einfach verschlucken.  Die Musik hat mir in den Momenten nackter Überforderung geholfen zu überleben - So hilft sie mir auch jetzt durch meine Isolation…
Sie schützt mich, sie packt mich in Watte, sie umhüllt mich, sie hält mich zusammen, sie streichelt mich, sie bringt Licht ins Dunkel, sie begleitet mich, sie führt mich, sie bündelt mich, sie zerschmettert meine Masken, meine Hülle und setzt mich wieder zusammen. Die Musik hat mir gelehrt, dass es mehr Liebe auf der Welt gibt, als Hass. Früher dachte ich immer es sind die Texte, heute weiß ich es ist jeder einzelne Ton.

The cops crashed our Hefefest 15 min. before i started. While i played the first 6-7 tracks the sound-crew did their very best to fix some volume settings to keep the party running. Thank you people, for giving me the opportunity to finish my slot! And of course thx for dancing!
What bad luck, my set recording of the night does not meet my requirements, because of hard volume differences caused by trying to satisfy the cops as well as the people on the dancefloor. But in the end i think we all did our best to keep vibing! 🫶
Anyways, i hope you like this post-recorded set with same track order.

3 QUESTIONS to BONJOUR BEN

Q: Talking about your mix. Your roots are full of atmospheres, pads, not the usual 4/4 beat. What made this music so interesting for you?

A: Thank you. HOW I MET THE BASS was the reason to try something new from the technical side of mixing. It was a lot of fun because it was the first time ever I recorded a mix with 3 different medias. I checked my first electronic tracks in my iTunes playlist, which vinyl records I ordered on decks.de or discogs.com and which fitting CD may be around too. Then I was surprised that most of my music collection was really melancholic and calm. No Techno, no Minimal, no Tech-House - even more Ambient, Electronica and Deep House.

Q: You´re from the northern part of Germany. How did you get in touch with the club scene once and how does it still feel for you?

A: My first experiences in clubbing in my hometown Rostock have been at MS Stubnitz, the good old JAZ and the "Machbar" events. My first gig ever was in Rostock (Club Zwischenbau) and the first events I was involved in as promoter was with the Meerblick Kollektiv. A huge experience that I won´t miss and makes me smile when I remember the good old times. On the other hand I´m living and working here for 11 years now, that has a big impact on my daily doings. And there is a lot of good things going on here. On the other hand I´m really critical with the area around here. Our world is big, colored and nice, we should never forget about that, doesnt matter where you live.

Q: Which future projects and releases are coming soon?

A: Besides having upcoming gigs in Tenerifa, Hamburg, Berlin and recording podcasts for different blogs I´m going to focus on becoming a more professional artist. That means becoming part of a label and an agency as all my recent things have been done on my own. On one side that will give you a lot of freedom and you´re always in direct touch with the promoters but on the other hand that becomes more and more stressful from time to time, especially when its about playing gigs outside of Germany or by having problems in handling Facebook, WhatsApp etc. I´m on the point now that I really need a helping hand and I hope that will take me further.

Tepeme Monamictlán es el segundo de los nueve niveles y residencia de Tepeyóllotl (dios de las montañas, los ecos y el jaguar). Esta es la región donde dos montañas chocan, produciendo ecos como señal a los muertos para cruzar al siguiente nivel.

Mictlán is a conceptual album through genres and interpretations of 18 artists about the underworld according to the mythology and pre-Hispanic worldview of the Aztecs.

Mictlán is the underworld and part of the vertical universe, created by the pair of sovereign gods of the dead. Its nine levels represent the journey of a god every night in the fauces of the lords of the Earth.

Tepeme Monamictlán is the second of the nine levels and residence of Tepeyóllotl (god of mountains, echoes and jaguar). This is the region where two mountains collide, producing echoes as a signal to the dead to cross to the next level.
