Should I smile, cry or drift off through the universe when I hear a melody? It even has the power to mystically connect this melting pot of emotions simultaneously. This then, is the domain of Mario Hammer And The Lonely Robot and those who have followed their career know they have already demonstrated this impressive phenomenon on their two previous albums, transforming their personal feelings into unique musical soundscapes, creating an emotional interface that enables the listener to decode and then assimilate them collectively or as individual sensations.
 
True to form, they once again apply this syntactic assemblage to great effect on the new album "Définition Synematique" brought to you courtesy of Cocoon Recordings. Eighteen expansive tracks take the listener on a majestic mystery tour through a variety of moods that represent an artist at the peak of their creativity. This emotional, heartfelt approach, realised through a potent mixture of ambient, electronica and techno influences, gives this new work a cinematic sound signature all of its own. Intriguingly though, it also belongs to a rich tapestry of electronic composers dating back to Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarre albeit with a contemporary twist, rekindling the flame for a new generation of psychonauts as echoes from the dance floor weave their way into numerous chillout sessions around the globe. 
 
Undoubtedly, the album tells a very personal story. Mario Hammer And The Lonely Robot succeed in evoking the same emotional state in the listener that they themselves felt during its creation, producing an album of real depth, innovation and distinction in the process.

Back to Turntables after more than seven years of silence...

CHRIS GATE is a German Composer & Producer and works since 1996 with focus on Electronic Music. He is also part of the VORTEX ELEMENTS Project.

HISTORY: First he started with the Collaboration-Project NOISE CONSTRUCTION in 1996 and got the chance to release two tracks in 1998 on Millennium-Storm Records (Hannover/Germany) and its first Techno-Trance Sampler. But unfortunately the distribution of the disc failed and the label decided to discontinue its work. 
To get some new experience, a partnership of NOISE CONSTRUCTION with CJ MILLER as an upcoming DJ was a nice chance to get a new focus on straight Club sounds. 
The work of Noise Construction was discontinued at the beginning of 1999 and CHRIS GATE began to focus on his Solo-Project.
In 2003 he founded the collaboration project VORTEX ELEMENTS together with Sonic Chain, which can be discovered on Soundcloud. After some years his musical view changed from Club & Trance-Style to more classical Electronic Music Style.
During the time, he did some REMIXES for SNAP & BLANK & JONES (Remix-contests) and some of his own tracks as well.
Actually it´s the intention of CHRIS GATE to get some new Contacts , to improve the musical artwork and getting in contact with people who like his tracks.

Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
