I had the chance to meet the Robot Heart crew twelve years ago in NYC for a giant Halloween party where I played on the ‘copy bus’. 

That was a life changing moment somehow. I realized my music could be the soundtrack for a world that’s beyond our imagination, far from my Paris studio.

In 2023, I come full circle by performing at Burning Man for the very first time with my partner Liset Alea. 

This Thursday sunset set was a moment we’ll savour for years to come.

In this live recording you’ll hear: Liset singing 30 feet above the ground from inside the blinking heart, the voices of multiple colorful creatures dancing all around us, the massive Know Audio custom sound system rumbling under our feet, the laughter of unicorns, dragons and shamans… and if you really listen carefully you might even hear the buzz of a billion stars shimmering above our head.

Memories of Robot Heart founder Geo carried us along the set. His legacy will live forever.

Don’t be fooled by the title; ‘Another Night’ isn’t just any old night, this one’s pivotal. A night when something deep inside is stirred, and nothing will be same again. Poetic, cosmic, yearning and soulful; following from his hugely successful label debut ‘Tai Tai’, Spanish artist and live performer M.E.M.O. strikes provocative gold once again. 
The remaining tracks follow suit; both measured, spacious and splashed with sudden twists and moments of uplift. ‘Lo Unico’ shimmers with classic progressive feel, all starlit with deep weaving arpeggios and a dynamic switch into a whole new vocal focus midway. ‘Ormus’ closes the show with a trip round the sun on a rocket powered by roomy broken beats, more crystalline arpeggios, a bassline that hums with tightly coiled drama and breakdown that drops into the biggest switch of the EP. Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
