SULEIMAN RECORDS is a Montreal boutique digital label founded by DJ/producer Darem Aissa. The name of the imprint pays homage to Syrian poet Suleiman Al-Aissa, one of the most prominent contemporary Arab poets.

The intent of SULEIMAN RECORDS and its vinyl-only sub-label AISSA RECORDS is to promote and produce positive, quality, underground electronic music. Taking influences from House, Techno and the many amalgamations in between, involving a diverse array of talented artists worldwide.

Field Records looks to L'estasi Dell'oro (Christopher Ernst, aka Penalune) for a new three-track EP for sound systems that once again takes us down the rabbit hole. Following on from his previous 'I Look Upon Nature While I Live in a Steel City' album in 2015, this is another masterfully drawn out and engaging affair.

Either to please or to educate is the intended purpose of this EP release, utilizing on guitar, tabla, and other electronic and acoustic instruments. The incessant movement of the metronomic tremors felt underneath our plains lay the rhythm. The threadbare dialogue we use to communicate frays slightly further. These spirals are given an explicit voice through leader Annabelle Kuwe's dispassioned public address to the remaining world at the Great Meeting of 2166, as recounted by Sadie LaPierre on closer ‘Achieve Ignition’.

Cocoon Recordings has been founded in the year 2000 as a part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. Sven Väth has initiated Cocoon Recordings in order to complete the Cocoon platform as a supporting tool for young artists in Electronic Music. The label philosophy is as simple as demanding: helping young producers and DJs to release their music without depending on Major Label structures. The releases can mainly be assigned to the genres Techno and House.

Cocoon Recordings as a label and Sven Väth as an artist stand for the use of vinyl as sound carrier, also in the future. Admittedly, the Digital Division of Cocoon Recordings has also been set up in 2008 and the numbers of downloads are indeed enjoyable. However, the label's focus is on vinyl, now and in the future. In order to complete the range of services that Cocoon Recordings offers, the publishing company Cocoon Publishing was founded in 2010.
