After a number of acclaimed tracks and EPs, the southern newcomer on the French electronic scene, Voltaire will be releasing his debut album on Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR label this year.  As a first taster, the three-track EP "[QR]D.292.VOL1.24" was released in October 2024.  Following on, a second EP drops in March features two more cuts from the forthcoming album alongside a third track which is exclusive to this new EP. 
 
Voltaire is an artist who built his career through passion, after electronic music fell into his lap somewhat by chance.  Coming from a region far from the preferred circuits of the music world, he cultivated his predispositions in autarky.  Very quickly, the musician took advantage of his training in the audio-visual industry (where he worked as a sound recordist and mixer for cinema, advertising and haute couture) to raise the artistic and technical quality of his productions to a very high level.  Today Voltaire is a COD3 QR regular: he has remixed "Tales from the Real World" from Laurent Garnier's "33 Tours Et Puis S'en Vont" album, had several vinyl and digital releases and has been in the line-up of several events. 

Voltaire uses his perfectionist approach to music to create a richly emotional eclecticism, whether it's the story-telling techno of "Detune", the housier edge of EP exclusive, "Enlight" or the electro-fied closer, "Unity". 

"[QR]D.080.VOL2.25" is released digitally on 21 March and will be followed by his "Echoes" album this summer.

I produce, mix and host a weekly radio program called BEATSCAPE: where creative minds meet up with dancing feet! Every week, I deliver a 3 hours of the hottest new releases. From deep-house to soulful, tech-house to deep-techno, dubstep to 4x4, ambient to IDM, post-dubstep to grime.
Currently broadcasted in France and Switzerland, my purpose is to educate a "mainstream audience" to what I consider to be "quality music", following my only moto: if I like it, I play it!

Interested and in tune with many diverse forms of music, no matter the genre. His passion is for Funk and Groove built on a solid foundation bassline with a sprinkle of our synthedelic and/or Punk & an air of psychedelic electro with a shamanic voodoo vibe. He grew up with the music of many influence from Synth, Nu Wave,Punk, Indie and early Dance culture, key stand outs thou Chicago House and Detroit Techno. A huge shout out to my mentor and great friend Paul who inspired and enlightened me since late 80's the magic and importance of electronic music; thank you Paul. After arriving in NewYork in the early 90's after graduation in Architectural Graphic design, cutting his teeth in A multi culture with many influences. This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media. 

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore. 
GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.
