¨Well, first of all im a big big big fan of the music from Mali and Omou Sangare for many years and this track is a very special one for me, probably one of the favourite edits i've ever done. It's been evolving for around 3 years and i've played this one in many festivals, so i decided to send it to the Cosmo fam to share it with the humans around the world¨

About Andi.Andean

@andiandean is a sonic entity created by the percussionist, producer, dj and human lover of nature Andrés Aravena, born in Santiago / Chile.

His journey in music began at very young age exploring the African rhythms while playing the drums in the hidden forests of the city at the same time that he became interested in electronic music and reggae. All this accompanied by a great interest in nature and an endless number of experiences in the Andes mountains that then led him to travel through South America exploring its sounds, humanities, ecosystems and settle down to live surrounded by volcanoes, lakes and nature in the South of Chile, spending time into his studio and giving birth to the “Andi.Andean” project.

Then his creations began to appear on various labels around the world as well as tours and festivals invitations around Europe. He currently lives in Berlin where he continues a constant exploration of rhythms and sounds¨

About this edit:
African music has been very inspiring to me for many years, there is something about it that I connect deeply with, I feel it in my spirit. I love to listen to it all the time, I love to learn the guitar rhythms and melodies, it gives me a lot of ideas for my music.
I came across this song recently and fell in love with the vocal and simple yet beautiful guitar melody. I felt that it had a very authentic and honest feeling. I researched the song and found out that N'Gou recorded this album in his house with his wife and daughter singing in the 1970's in Bougouni, Mali. I felt this was a beautiful vibration that I would love to share in my sets so I decided to make this edit. I hope you enjoy! Please listen to his full original album it's a beautiful work of art and music :)

Besides being such an honor to be Merkaba Music's representative as label dj, I received with great affection the invitation to idealize the last episode of Textures Mixes Series.

My choice was to tell a story based on the range of 4x4 sounds that label sets out to explore, as well as because of the engagement I have had as a dark progressive DJ for almost 15 years.

In this mix I set out to contemplate the variety of Merkaba Music psytrance tracks, among the new and old tunes of which I most identify and which bring the atmosphere of the label in an ancestral and futuristic mystical combination.

Coda Chrome artist composer performer traveller    Coda Chrome is Canadian born singer songwriter producer. Laurie co- founder of the electro pop indie band Chiwawa working with Luc St. Pierre and eventually Steve Whifield engineer and live soundman for The Cure. 
 
Coda Chrome is currently writing her own song getting ready to release a brand new collection of songs. GIgs include festivals in Europe and now she is beginnnign to perform Hybrid sets in Europe and in North America. Coda loves to improvise live as well in various settings where ❤️  &  flow happens
