With most DJ’s barely getting their teeth in to 2014 yet, Rotterdam based composer and producer Eelke Kleijn is already back teasing more huge tracks. Set for release on Feb. 24 on Eskimo Recordings are two brand new originals. ‘Lovely Sweet Divine’ is a slice of space disco heaven. This otherworldly tune is drenched in expansive reverb, disco rhythms and infectious arpeggiated basslines.

Typically brooding with an uplifting inflection, 'A Tale Of Two Lovers' is Eelke at the top of his game – only what we have come to expect from recent months. Combining fluid violins, hang drums and his typical bass rumble it’s a track from someone so adept at production they have the confidence and freedom to play around with styles in the 7-minute runtime.

A year on from 'Fernweh', Laux is releasing two split remix EPs that give the album a complete re-imagining. There are edits from the likes of Steve Rachmad, Ray Kajioka and one Marcel Dettmann.

Dettmann is arguably one of the finest techno DJs on the planet and if he's not rinsing the Berghain sound-system, he's touring non-stop and running things at his stellar MDR imprint. 

For his edit he's served up a fierce, menacing and calculated track, one that uses monstrous kicks, demonic synths and driving hi-hats.

It’s time for a reversion excursion as four of Systematic boss Marc Romboy’s most distinctive 2015 cuts are shaken, stirred and slammed to smithereens by four of his most on-point peers. Get to know...

Dosem blasts the starter horn with a ravishing techno twist on Marc’s pensive sunrise charmer ‘Elgur’. Working around the spine-melting sensation of the original’s emotion-wrenching chord structure and breakdown, he injects it with a teeth-baring bass groove that chugs to create a turbo-charged remix that still retains all the beauty of the original.

Audiojack follow with a superlative remix swing: their take on ‘Byglia’ fuses naked hip-shaking beats with a lean-but-super-funky bassline. So few elements, so much fun... Especially when the original riff is deftly repurposed on two climactic occasions.

Deeper again we hit Alex Niggemann’s take on ‘Nasa’. Paying full respect to the original’s planet-aligning synthetic soul, Alex builds on the beauty by adding more shadows in the spaces and star-gazing cosmic overtones. Where the original took us into outer space and landed us gently back on planet earth, this leaves us hanging around a faraway nebula.

The fourth and final remix will ensure we stay in deep space too... The unstoppable Agents Of Time have taken Romboy’s cathedral-shaking original and completely rebooted it with lavish layers of crystalline synths that wink and twinkle psychedelically over a pulsating tech groove. Total hypnosis material that guarantees vast blasts of light in the darkest of hours.

Slam deliver yet another on point release for Soma as the duo drop the Signifies EP. Stuart and Orde have been on fire of late with not only their releases doing the damage but with a string of gigs across the continent and their own Pressure events in their hometown of Glasgow going from strength to strength, the pair seem unstoppable at the moment. This latest EP once again shows great depth in their production going from hard- hitting techno to stripped back and jacked up machine funk.

Structure kicks things off and Slam state their intent on this one as one mean sounding hook plays the main role alongside fairly punishing drums. Title track Signifies is up next with yet more intelligently made patterns used a little more subtly but with no less impact. Functional closes out the EP and takes things a little deeper with is simple yet effect and pumped percussion striding across a tweeked out vocal sample.
With this huge release, Slam once again maintain their claim as being one of the most innovative acts in electronic music right now.

The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.
