Code500 deliver a massive wall of sound. Best described as an alternative fusion of Rock n Roll and Dance, their sonic explorations into layered melodies and heavy bass create a mix of post-rock beats with a nod to the 90’s, whilst remaining thoroughly of the now.

Several studio sessions quickly became live rehearals, where the band started experimenting with a new sound. Since then, Code500 have become widely known, playing live at and hosting various club nights where they aim to curate a night of musical exploration. With quality at the heart, the band have drawn in support acts and DJs from across the musical spectrum.

The band have successfully gigged in and around London and performed at the BBC's Introducing sessions. As seasoned live performers, they come to life in front of an audience, where technical skill see's what could be perceived as a studio-heavy, multi-layered sound- expertly delivered in real time.

Code500 released their much anticipated and well received debut "RED FLAG E.P" in 2012. After a successful run of live shows, a video shoot, two single releases and a live studio session at SSR Manchester, Code500 recently released new single "SHADOWS" as a free download. 2013 also saw the band on the line up at the infamous O2Academy as well as a headline performance at 100 Club London.

Velvet Engine manages to tell honest and heartfelt stories through soft and soulful melodies and a reflective soul. Influenced by everyone from Ghostpoet to Laura Marling.

A pleasant repspite from the days tribulations, these are the perfect sounds to cup-of-tea to.

With 4 EP's under her belt 'Glimpse Of The Sun' , 'This Old Hat, 'Good People' and the newest release 'Cloudy Head' - and 2 Christmas singles 'Be Merry & Bright' and 'Silent Night'- we can expect great things from this breed of heart-warming alt-folk music and Velvet Engine will be sure to drive it in the right direction with her catalogue of honest yet timid and catchy songs.

After 18 years of flying solo, Velvet Engine welcomes new band including Matt Round on bass guitar, Mark Hales on drums and percussion and Dhiren Basu on lead guitar with occasional guest Roz Webber on viola.
