Firestone

Exclusive premiere of the EVM128 remix of Maylight's 'Digits'.

Back to dance music with this one.  I always liked the way 90s rave tunes would sample a chord and then play a melody with them.  So I fired up the old 1990s sampler and found some of those chords to mix in with a rolling beat.  

This track actually began with an idea for hi-hats that is barely audible in the final mix.  There is a hat sound in the background run through a resonant filter with an envelope and LFO.  That plus the Juno bass line was where I started.

Now available for digital download and on vinyl alongside a remix from LTJ Xperience and two other previously unheard Codebase tracks - Roam Recordings 013, Codebase "Falling Bricks" EP.  You can find it at your favorite vinyl or digital music store!
