A code is born out of the need for communication. 
Every signifier comes to represent a perception of the surrounding world. 
Sound, sight, smell, touch and taste, are all condensed into signs…into code. 
House music is one such code, drawing on experiences and beliefs that have changed the world over the past three decades. A sound started in the underground clubs of 1980’s Chicago, house music has stood the test of time, constantly evolving and morphing, touching new hearts and minds at every step. House music was created to celebrate life, love, positivity and togetherness. For those who have been in the middle of a dancefloor surrounded by a crowd of smiling people, almost able to touch the energy of the vibe, house music has become a way of life, with its own language and meanings; the house music code, our code. A new weekly podcast project created by Codekontrol and directed by Monokode, showcasing some of the up and coming artists as well as veterans of the worldwide, underground, electronic music scene

Like a lot of good things it all started in a basement. A series of parties hidden away underground in the heart of London.....hence Sub Secret. A duo who's mix of beautiful cinematic melodies and dark driving techno has found a grateful audience around the world as well as in their London home.

Since their inception in 2007 few have seen the faces of the duo but their distinctive presence has be felt by many of London's regular party goers. Firm believers that the audience listen with more than just their ears and becoming bored of seeing the same facedown DJ's, standing behind the desks and "maybe"' once in a while would look up at the crowd, the duo have taken on their masked "Sub Secret" Alter egos whenever they play.

Friends from University Stephen Fewings & Mark Standerline decided to start sharing with the world their common love of big melodies and driving basslines through their productions. With their first tracks 5AM and Schizo'clock getting the attention of CodeKontrol Crew and being released as their first EP "Para la Manana" on Mind Abilitry Records.

Sub Secret are ceaselessly working and endlessly innovating. When not in the studio writing original material or remixing tracks they can be found out playing parties around Europe or more recently taking care of the running of Mind Ability Records.

Sub Secret creations oscillate from breath taking deep techno runs like “Rambo” or “Side Clap” to heart ripping melodic trips, such as “Wir Schauten Nicht” and "Only the Beginning".

Their vision, passion, and love of music continues to drive Sub Secret — and the extended Mind Ability Team — in all that they continue to do.

Codekontrol is a multimedia entertainment project born out of complete love and dedication for the underground. The underground is where Codekontrol saw its first parties spring to life and where its core concept formed. We will always look here to find musical originality and creativity. Without the underground, there would be nothing. So, the search goes on, the search goes on, the search goes on

Codekontrol now includes four record labels (Minimal Force, Mind Ability, Solid Tracks, Picknick Records), each with its own specific flavor of house, tech and techno; an artist management company (Media Kode), and a growing number of up-and-coming electronic artists who share the same vision. 

Renato Pezzella is a Dj/Producer from Naples(IT), known for always searching for new sounds and unborn vibrations slowly transforming his passion for music into a full-time job.He is not accustomed to identify himself with a specific genre,his sets take you on a long winding musical journey which involves the mind,body and soul.He alternates dj sets with activites in his studio where he gives birth to his productions.His loves for electronic music started the moment e took his first steps into th Napolitan club scene which included clubs such as Aqabah ,Metropolis,Golden gate, where he had the opportunity to grow and interact with professionals who lead him to develop a very personal sound which led to a dj set in the most prestigious party in Campania and  italy.He played in clubs around  europe  like EGG(London) ,   rhythm &factory(London)TRESOR (Berlin) , Gianpula (Malta), Zebra  club  Bacau (Romania) ,Ibiza island  where he released  balearic  feeling  album .He released  3 albums : Musik  visions,  Balearic  feeling and dark inside . He is currently releasing on various labels such as ,Minar  records, Bosphorus  underground, Tanira  recordings,  Cubek  records,Mind ability, Minimal  force rec. Galapago  recordings and  his  label  zenith  recordings.Numerous tracks have appared on compilations such as wmc13, 14,,ibiza underground,full moon party,ibiza vibes, Miami vibes selection, electronic essential  and  many  more .

Dimski is a producer with a long involvement in music production for various scenes and industries. 

Born in Russia in a family of musicians, he showed his inclination to the sonic arts at the early age of 7 when he took piano and guitar lessons. After relocating to Greece at the age of 9, he became an active member of a local cover band, playing the bass and singing. Using music as an escape from the norm, he only took it seriously at his early 20’s when he signed up for a BA in Music and Sonic Media in South Bank University of London. 

His multicultural background and social nature gave him the opportunity to collaborate with various artists across different genres. He has contributed to London’s music scene for many years with unreleased material and finally has set the pace to make his work official with forthcoming releases (TBA).

He is the man behind Solid Tracks Records, a London based Techno label and a member of the CodeKontrol family.
