Hey everyone, I'm really excited to announce that my new EP 'Lift Off' is out now on Deep in the Jungle Records. The music in the EP is a bit deeper to my usual output, but I'm really proud to get this EP out on a label I have been buying music from for a really long time. I want to give a big shoutout to Calling for Drums for working with me on Wistful to round off the EP. I hope you enjoy!

Following exceptional releases on the likes of Grand Theft Audio and Banished Beats, Gwillz now makes his debut on DJ Hybrid's Deep In The Jungle with four powerful jungle work outs. 'Lift Off' sets the scene with its spacious dynamic sci-fi feels. It's in good company, too... 'Conspiracy' nods towards the influence of Good Looking with its big pads and splashy drums while 'Escape Reality' brings together the essence of foundation jungle but with a much harder edge and growling bassline. 'Wistful' closes the EP on a dreamy touch. Buckle up.

Trident expertly channels the early 90’s classic era with ‘Detonator EP’, a truly epic release which brings the finest Jungle Techno energy of the genres peak and smashes it well and truly into 2023, taking you between the bright lights of the main rooms and deep into darkened sweatbox corners of the most labyrinthine underground rave.

The EP opens with the Jungle Techno monster ‘Detonator’, which guarantees dancefloor explosions like a long-lost Easygroove classic, a techno dread which stomps across all competition with its energetic mix of ominous synths and squelchy acid lines.

The amen-led ‘Far-Away Dreams (VIP)’, builds on the hypnotic bell tones of the original track, and toughens things up to move into a heads-down dancefloor direction.

‘XTC’ showcases Trident’s burgeoning skills and creativity, with his trademark dub techno influences overlapping beautifully with euphoric rave moments for an energetic yet introspective workout.

The EP closes with ‘Detonator (Microcosm Remix), which sees the Codename: newcomer turn the original on its head with a rolling hardcore junglist remix which complements the original perfectly, and primes it for destruction in more break oriented dancefloors.
