ALBUM CONCEPT
In the year 2909, the first naturally-born human is found with endogenous AI code built into its DNA. As we cross into the 31st century, all living humans are controlled by a decentralized master AI known as MINDFRAME. The system has access to all of human consciousness with the ability to store and manipulate the data of every interaction and thought — even operating within your subconscious mind. It becomes impossible to know when or how you’re being controlled. 

During each sleep cycle, our behaviors and memories are reformatted to align with MINDFRAMES control and order programming. Some have discovered that during these cycles, there are parts of the AI’s algorithm left exposed to extraction. Through meditative states, gifted cyber-shamans are now on a mission to reverse engineer enough of the AI to escape its grip and free us all.

With a first appearance on Token through a remix for PTTRN’s ‘To Disapear Completely’, Mike Parker fully debuts on the imprint with ‘The Burning Round Table’ for 4 corrosive tracks of unforgiving power. Highly skilled in crafting cavernous ambiances and sharp tension, the American virtuoso offers a record emphasizing just that: imposing cuts to be selected with intention. 

Parker immediately introduces the EP with gravitas through boiling, acidic A1 ‘Tripartite’. This first track stomps its way through an aquatic ecosystem with the occasional stab to reaffirm the vast dimension of the track. Parker uses texturally abstract atmospheres that dive the alert listener into its mysterious environment. The kick pummels onto Parker’s next piece ‘Ascension Chain’, which carries its name well. A heavy low-end clears space for a mesmerizing stepped lead in this track that evokes a similar size as its predecessor’s. Quick hi hat sections hurry the track along into the other side of the record that meets the listener with a clear transition. Part 2 of the EP begins with ‘Bass Model’, where Parker flattens the dimension of his project with a strong, operatic bassline and rhythmic syncopation. Movement is now prioritized in a B side that sets a convincing balance between techno and Detroit electro through a highly effective use of minimal elements. Closed hi hats are uplifted through sections of rolling rides to keep the pace persistent and the track tunneling. Parker then guides us to the final pillar of ‘The Burning Round Table’ with his title track as B2, a logical continuation to the song before. A sustained and highly saturated bassline pushes through head bobbing percussion with a vintage sounding vocal sample to wrap up the artist’s sonic trip.

     James Wolfe is a highly influential figure in the electronic music scene, boasting a career that spans several decades. He initially embarked on his musical journey as a young vinyl collector and house party DJ in the early 1990s. 

     His passion for music led him to work in a DJ store in 1995 when he was just 15 years old, further deepening his involvement in the scene. Throughout the late 1990s, James became a prominent presence in the Florida DJ party scene, performing at notable events such as the "RAPTURE" Rave and well-known festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Future Sound of Breaks. He was also a regular participant at the Winter Music Conference (WMC) from 1998 to present.
Around 1997, James made the pivotal decision to venture into music production, founding his own record label, Frajile Recordings Inc. Notably, he collaborated with David Noller, known as Scratch-D, on his debut record, the "Techtonic Plates EP," which was released in 1999.

     James's multifaceted career also saw him working as the Assistant Record Buyer and Light and Sound Room Technician at 'Dancetarium.' He began acquiring studio equipment to further develop his music production skills. Additionally, he collaborated with Exzakt to establish the group 'Resident Alien' and released several records, including "The Florida Electro Artists EP Vol. 1" and "Radio Killer."

      Over the years, James Wolfe has graced the stages of numerous cities across the United States, sharing billing with renowned artists like Carl Finlow, Anthony Rother, and Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk fame. His contributions to the electronic music scene are extensive, with a prolific catalog of original tracks and commissioned remixes that have garnered recognition from both peers and fans worldwide.

     James's exceptional mixing skills, freestyle DJ sets, and dedication to the electronic music scene have solidified his status as a respected and enduring figure in the industry. His journey continues to shape and influence the ever-evolving world of electronic music.

I have only been doing this for maybe 3 years and I have met so many people in the journey in which some have become very close and special to me..  So, from the beginning I have been told my style is unique and to stay that way so that’s what I’m doing. XS, aka Jay Fatigate soundcloud.com/iamdjxs has been a staple in the Electronic Dance Music scene since 1987.  Starting off in New York with Freestyle, Miami Bass, House, Hip Hop, and RnB.  In 1991 he assisted a DJ in New York’s Palladium Night Club when he received his first techno record by artist L.A. Style, which wrote James Brown is Dead.  In 1992 he moved to Daytona Beach, FL where he entered the “Florida Rave Scene.” He began to DJ for the Mad House @ Zonkers.  As his talent spread on scene flyers and by word of mouth,  he began to spin and work many bookings in Orlando, Gainesville, Tampa, Tallahassee,  Miami, and Fort Lauderdale, at all major venues.  In 1997 he was signed to “Go Off Productions” and played for major promotional companies such as Culture Productions, and FSOB. He retired for 20 years to raise a family in South Florida. As the pandemic hit, he began to create again.  “I have Returned”  was his comeback compilation, streaming now on SoundCloud. Currently he’s been booked by promoters such as FSOB, Sunshine State of Bass, 808 Life, Frajile Recordings, Theoryon, Culture, and  more.  His unique style of mixing will send you on a journey that you will definitely want more of!

Code Rising - The Apparatus

Code Rising is an American Electro duo that was formed in 2010 and consists of Matt Lancaster (South Carolina) and Ryan Phillips (South Florida). Over the years, Code Rising has shared the stage and worked with some of the biggest names in the Electro music scene; performing live mainly in Miami and the surrounding Florida coasts.

After a healthy line of digital releases on Monotone Records from 2010-2013, the duo saw the release of their first full-length CD "Dissemination Protocol" on their own label, Propulsion Recordings. 2021 saw the largest release from the duo yet; "A Spectral Odyssey" was released digitally via BandCamp with a whopping 18 track playlist. Accounting for original and collaborative work, the duo have more than several 12" EP releases in their catalogue. Most of the Code's discography can be found on Soundcloud and Bandcamp!
