Let's meet our dj for episode 570, Abstract Drumz:

As some of you may already know, I have retired from releasing music through other labels and walked away from social media. From now on I’m going to be only releasing music through either Over/Shadow or my own Bandcamp page. This allows me much more creative freedom and takes away any pressure when it comes to making music. Often I go through stages where, due to health issues, I just can’t make music at all for long periods of time and when you’ve got people in your inbox asking for tunes it can get quite overwhelming and the whole process of making music can start to feel like a chore. Making music has always been a hobby and I want it to stay that way. As for upcoming releases, I have a track called “Loss” coming out on a Subtle Audio compilation in the next few months. The tracks “Culture 2024” and “Ethereal (remix)” will be dropping on Over/Shadow in the near future and the two Amen tracks “The Darkness Inside” and “Death Will Come From The Skies” will go up on my Bandcamp page at around the same time as this mix drops. I’m also continuing to work on my “160” series, bringing more oldskool vibes and experimental flavours plus, I’ll be putting out more Dub stuff and generally just making stuff and putting it out there. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the mix, huge thanks to Brian for letting me do this, I had a great time putting it together.

I started my label 'Subtle Audio' in 2005. The aim of the operation is to release interesting and experimental breakbeat D&B. Since the inception artists such as Alpha Omega, Equinox, Breakage, Nebula, Fanu, Sileni, Polska, Macc, dgoHn, Naibu, 0=0, Senses, Fracture & Neptune, Dissident and many more have contributed beats to the project and there's more to come!
