Code (Subtle Audio) - DJ Mixes

This is a recording of the last set from the Technicality night at the Annexe in Brixton, London on June 30th 2007. Was playing between 4 and 5am, so took the chance to play some less obvious stuff and delved into some of the more experimental styles of breakbeat D&B.

Elipse Music Podcast #32 - Code (Subtle Audio) @ Elipse Sessions Edition 4

This is the first in a series of mixes aimed at cataloging the music (old & new) that has inspired the launch of the Bustle Beats label. This is a recording of a set I played at what was a amazing monthly Wednesday night session run by Chris Inperspective at the Herbal club on Old Street, London. Was the place to be if you wanted to hear D&B with a heavy breakbeat influence. I made the trip over late in 2002 to see Breakage, Senses and Bailey play and even though there were only 50 - 60 people there it was one of the best nights of D&B I've ever attended. Was a real honour to get to play there myself about a year later alongside Polska and Breakage.


The set features MC's Criminial K (Bassbin), Stirlin & SP 

Check that clip-ity clop break-wreck of Sonar Circle into Digital - couldn't cue the track with the ancient CD deck installed in the club! Gave up on playing anymore CD's on the night after that - haha

The Month in Drum & Bass #002 - April 2013 (mixed by Code)

Just to introduce myself - it's Code from Subtle Audio Recordings. I'm based in Limerick, Ireland. My first love musically is D&B and Jungle but I like and play Techno / Dubstep / Electronica too.

I started my label 'Subtle Audio' in 2005. The aim of the operation is to release interesting and experimental breakbeat D&B. Since the inception artists such as Alpha Omega, Equinox, Breakage, Nebula, Fanu, Sileni, Polska, Macc, dgoHn, Naibu, 0=0, Senses, Fracture & Neptune, Dissident and many more have contributed beats to the project and there's more to come!
