Adam (one of the label founders, aka Adamson aka Alic) met Lucas during his last gig B.C. The guys connected immediately and this is how that radio feature came to life.

Nokturnal's sound covers a very wide range of genres but his true passion is for music that draws you in deep and relentlessly moves you forward. A complex flirtation between the dark and the light is a common theme in his sets, the purposeful layering of gorgeous haunting vocals over blistering psy-tech is where you find him lost in his art.

For over a decade Nokturnal represented the Zenon label where he oversaw the Sea of Vapours project which was voted the #2 progressive psytrance compilation / DJ mix of the year on Isratrance. A few years later his DJ mix Zenonesque charted at #3 on Beatport from over 3500 mixes.

Travelling the world to perform at and take part in the global music community, while sharing the stage with artists he has loved and respected forever and a day, has been a profound honour. Currently a DJ for Weapon Records, Nokturnal is THRILLED to now be sharing his passion for top-tier music by joining the Techgnosis crew! Rumour has it Ben Rama may have been inspired by Nokturnal at some point (only he knows that for sure) but one thing is for certain today, the shoe is absolutely and gratefully on the other foot!!

Sinisa is back with two tracks that were basically designed for Ibiza 2016 sets. The pulsing bass and calculated beats on this EP are just what we've come to expect from the Night Light records co-head. Intense, driving techno for instant groove-gratification. It's a perfect follow up to his last EP for Yoshitoshi, Valentina/Confused, which graced the crates of some of techno's finest. The EP leads off with "Pain." An extremely tight groove and tense, rising sounds throughout make the record a fierce contender on the dance floor. The way Sinisa's kick and bass work together punch through subwoofers with tenacious consistency. That same consistency can be found on this EP's B-side, "True Love," but where "Pain" opts for a more straight ahead groove, "True Love" is a wilder ride with more frenetic energy. The drums and sounds that drive this record feel less calculated, and the bass rides along in a decisive march that feels almost tribal and completely enveloping.

I played this set on the 04.08.2018 at Radisson Blu, Roche Noires, Mauritius for The Lost Oracle by Secret Models. I put quite a bit of effort into the preparation of this set. Emotions are musically defined by melodies and harmonies, I knew I would be playing to younger crowd per say, a crowd which would be much more in touch with their emotions than the darker techno crowd of Mauritius to which I usually play. So this set is a careful selection of tracks to convey huge energies and emotions to lift you up to drive you forward! In anycase it works for me, hope it does for you too! <3
