Volume VIII brought to you by Portsmouth producer Kris Davis (@kris_davis). With releases to date on Connaisseur, Constant Circles, Crossfrontier Audio, Einmusika, Parquet, Steyoyoke, Suara and Young Alaska to name but a few, Davis’ sonic profile is nothing short of alluring. Rich, brooding low-ends, pensive melodies and delicately sculpted sound design meet in seven-minute-plus journeys that only leave us arguing about where best to enjoy them.  Either in a warehouse, a wood, or daydreaming in your living room, all are palatable options for indulging in Davis’ catalogue.  

Beyond production, Kris Davis’ audible sensibilities carry the same weight in the mixing booth.  His mixes wield and weave a journey with transitions melded as delicately as his mixdowns. In so doing he creates a journey that is nothing short of graceful, if not poetic. And with that we’re done gushing.

Hello, hello, how low, Tribes?
Happy new EAR!!! It all began in 2008, when we did our first "TOTEM" event at Cube326 of Tokyo. A rocking party with a lots of ravers that marked an Era in Tokyo. After more than 10 years we haven't just only done amazing events here, but we have joined the strongest artist roster in our country. On 2010 Totem Traxx Records was born, and 88 solid releases mark a path of diverse artistic expressions, all of them oriented to move the dance floors worldwide. To celebrate this Anniversary, DO SHOCK BOOZE compiled 17 music gems; half of them already released in the past and half of them are brand new remixes or original tracks. International artists like Christian Hornbostel, ACTWIN, J.A.K.A.M., Mariano Santos, LUNASUN(Haruo Chikada & OMB), CD HATA,DJ HI-C, Akira Arasawa,etc. have released wonderful music in our label. But we have showed to the world that we have great artists in Japan that know how to do their job too, and this compilation is another solid proof of that. We thank you for your support and smiles trough these 10 years and we will keep delivering our best for many years to come. 
The journey to discover new energy in wonders of the world of sounds which reaches beyond the borders of all living things form will never end.

Code Wu he also was the first successful DJ in Taiwan to be invited to the worlds largest music festival GLASTONBURY at main stage The Blues in 2015. 
received a nod from Love Da Records, who released his official remix of the single “Almost Home”from Moby’s album “Innocents”.

In 2009, he debuted his first EP on Beatport.com, the world’s largest DJ music store with a catalogue of over a million tracks, where his song “Buddha” rose to the top 50 downloads in the site. 
His credits as a producer, recording and mixing engineer, and composer who specializes in fusing traditional and modern Chinese instruments with Electronica and Techno beats, to a diverse audience, from music enthusiasts to trendy consumers, positions him as one of Taiwan’s top DJs.
