On behalf of The Lounge Vale do Lobo's tenth anniversary and of my residency there, I invited other artists to play on 10 special celebration events. On the last of these events, I played a DJ set after Magupi's Live Act. He joined me with his Xilosynth connected to an Analog Delay and Ableton - we had a lot of fun. If the night hadn't been special enough already, a woman asked for her boyfriend to marry her during our performance (you can hear it during an Einmusik's track).

Niki is a Vancouver-based DJ, musician. Growing up on a musical diet of Rock, Blues and Reggae provided by her parents’ record collection, Niki is hard to pin down musically. Inspired by her family’s love of music, she took up the Guitar at the age of 11. It was only a few years later that she started composing her own acoustic songs. Also it was during this time that Niki got introduced to the sounds of electronic music and she got undeniably hooked instantly. It was around the same time that Niki started tiptoeing around DJ sets, learning the basics.
Being exposed to different music genres, cultures and subcultures, her experiences has served her as a funnel and catalyst for her creativity, which she then translates into arrangements that convey what she has felt in her life with equal intensity and atmosphere.
Today, her sets act like musical journeys that invite the listeners to dive into their own individual world of sensations.

A very special weekend where the three legendary parties of the Tri Bay area joined forces to create a three day mini festival, culminating in a memorable sunday evening closing jam at Why Nam.. Any thoughts that the crowd might be a little tired after a long weekend of dancing were quickly dispelled when I kicked off this set in high gear and the dancefloor fuse was lit right away and didn't stop burning for the whole 6 hour set.. Euphoric, high energy house music is how I would describe this mix, which barely pauses for breath until a few hours in when it takes a turn into deeper territory before gathering steam for a pumping finish, so put on your dancing shoes for this one as it's a banger!
