The motif of the quest for the meaning of life is first fully explored in Gilgamesh as the hero-king leaves his kingdom following the death of his best friend, Enkidu, to find the mystical figure Utnapishtim and gain eternal life. Gilgamesh's fear of death is actually a fear of meaninglessness and, although he fails to win immortality, the quest itself gives his life meaning. This theme has been explored by writers and philosophers from antiquity up to the present day and found it reflection in techno release!

Following releases on Panterre Musique, Prototype Music, IAMT and several others, Lutgens steps out of the studio with another undeniably potent package, spanning two hypnotic peak-time jams that showcase the full depth of his production skills. Kicking off with the title cut "Fenix," Lutgens wastes no time unloading that distinct ethereal-laced sound VOLTA is becoming synonymous with. Pulsating grooves, rippling low-frequency rumble, and rising musical resonance are all at play here, facilitating an expanding ebb and flow filled with atmospheric crescendos and deep-plunging breaks - hard-hitting interplanetary techno at its absolute finest yet again. "Sinistro" brings the release to a head with another firm hand strike. Urgent, racy rhythms drive the track forwards through a gauntlet of sinister sonic characteristics as it careers alongside another electrifying low-end roar throughout, with shards of acid and melodic techno fragmenting into the mix.

Rocío Portillo is an electronic music producer, DJ, and singer. She is also a brave, grateful, and conscious woman. Her full-time passion for music came after overcoming cancer, which made her hold on to life.

At 25, she obtained a degree in Social Communication and since then, she has worked in prominent media outlets in Mendoza. In 2024, after battling leukemia for five years and focusing on her recovery, she gave up her career as a journalist to dedicate herself solely to music for a while.

During the summer, a tour took her to the main electronic music stages across Argentina: Rosario, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata. Before that, with the help of an agent and her own promotion, she planned her first European tour, performing in cities across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.

With an elegant and sober style, Rocío steadily advances as a leading female figure in electronic music. She proudly says she is part of the line-up of festivals where her own role models also perform: among others, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha or John Digweed.

Her mother’s encouragement, which led her to take singing, dance, theater, and piano lessons, along with the support of her father, a choir director, invited her to explore the possibilities of art and the diversity of music. In her performances, she combines original pieces with hybrid sets where she includes her own voice.
