Can we just let AI music proceed as is unchallenged?

Absolutely not!

Soon the result is going to be unrecognisable vs human made. It will never be better because it's human character that makes music new but where the problem lies is in young musicians and their appreciation of the result. For an artist, that appreciation is born from years of getting it wrong and countless hours of difficult practice. For young minds that is now a challenging decision, spend your life playing an instrument or get it made for you in 10 seconds. Young minds have shorter and shorter attention spans because of short dose media so it's possible kids won't bother learning and making music the skillful route. 

That in my opinion removes too much feeling from the world of music and it needs to be challenged from as many corners of this ball as possible. Our kids are worth it and so is the memory of all the artists that inspired all of us to get music where it is today. Let's protect that at all costs. Currently, with no AI regulation companies are running the show and their is zero conscientious design associated with it because the developers are competing with each other for slices of the pie. 💡Idea: If SoundCloud were to offer a facility of confirming your process that might be a bit harder for the prompters to manipulate the system. They could even make it community based like Wikipedia where artists review and verify authenticity so that would take labour costs largely away from SoundCloud and the will would definately be there to get this on the level for people. I would donate time to that I think... that might be a positively focused way of separating the artists from the prompters. Prove you are what you say and then people can know they are embracing verified creators

This would actually work better outside of SoundCloud and the whole music industry and all streaming platforms could use it as a reference for real and badge it their own way for people to see and know what to embrace no matter where they listen to music

Where's the philanthropist for this? I'm broke! 😆

Colours Of Nature

another old recording that is  part cover part original
about my 90s fascination with Hope Sandoval and Mazzy Star...just sweet and simple music  beautifully performed in a soft understated fashion..Very soothing band to contrast with the grunge of the times that I also liked. Fade Into You although a big hit overshadowed the rest of their catalog.

For this tune, some of the words are lifted from Fade Into You.. but most are mine
I was never infatuated with her like the song suggests...I just liked the band and music ..Watching YouTube videos 30 years later I was struck by the comments of many  who were  captivated by her beauty and singing style..
So I added the fan craze element to the song, but it is more from  my observations of her persona on others, and it is not my personal experience 
Her reticent, diffident singing style apparently was  linked to her awkwardness with fame and the crowds and the cameras.....
I believe she found the attention and the stress of performing very difficult and this I totally relate to
..social anxiety can be a heavy weight to bear.....
This is what I am trying to write about if you read the lyrics carefully 
For me, the song is  really about one shy singer connecting with another. 
Hope was very brave to do what she did, feeling how she did. Much respect
