said the box I was in put my bravery to shame 
and he painted a map out for me
Of the colors I’d learn if I gave Chance a go
to go settle in places I’d never else know

Orange in the Florida trees
Yellow in Texas sands
Green hills in Ireland 
he painted a picture for me

Blue in the ocean cliffs
Indigo twilight mists
Violet picked in your hands
eyes were closed when we danced
he painted a picture for me

	Brought him back home, built a place of our own 
with the colors ignited deep down in our bones 
and I painted a picture for him
	Told him home’s where you make it and you’re home to me
but this monochrome town needs some coloring
so we painted the whole damn city

	Go jump some dusty broom, have us a honeymoon

Twisting daisy chains and weaving hands in parks.
	We wish on fireflies cause shooting stars are rare to find
