A1 - Arcanjo Miguel:
This song is dedicated to a great friend, more than a friend, a brother and a great drummer and percussionist Miguel Assis. An extremely talented musician and a human being who is dedicated to doing good for people.

A2 - Chick:
Chick is also one of my main references; Along with Michel, Hermeto, Herbie, Zawinul, McCoy and other great pianists and composers I love so much. I was still a child, entering adolescence, then suddenly someone lent me a vinyl record in 1991/92 of the album The Chick Corea Elektric Band. It was a shock to hear and came to define that I would like to be a pianist and keyboard player forever. The song “Chick” was inspired by a video lesson by Chick. Much love to Chick's family. Thank you so much for everything, Maestro Chick!

AA1 - Samba for Petrucciani:
Michel Petrucciani is one of my biggest references. This song was inspired by a song called “Bite”; A samba-jazz by Michel Petrucciani. I was shocked to hear it for the first time on the Michel Petrucciani Live album in a white and blue cover. Much love for the Petrucciani family.

AA2 - Maraca - Funk
This song is a fusion of a Brazilian rhythm called “Maracatu” with Funk in the style of Herbie with The Headhunters. Herbie is my biggest influence and main reference. It's everything I wanted to be as an adult! I love you, maestro Herbie Hancock!

AA3 - Change of Plan:
This song is dedicated to the memory of my father, Freddy Escobar, my mentor, who “changed his plans prematurely” because of Covid-19. One of the biggest pains of my life. Daddy was a very good guy as a human being and, I believe he didn't die, because good people don't die, they just change planes, when the physical body doesn't work right anymore. I love you forever, Daddy.

This is the New Brazilian Trio EP because this trio with Miguel Assis and Michael Pipoquinha was born, initially for this record. But it became a project, a band and not just the “Erik Escobar show”. I intend to keep this trio forever, I love these wonderful guys and I have a deep admiration for them as musicians and as human beings.

Thank you very much for the opportunity of this partnership with Ten Lovers Music, so that this project could be born, my friend Steve!

Just check out this line up, as both legends and up and coming stars of the game gave us their take on the scene they call 'Bruk'. Absolute fyaaaa!. Following the release of her critically-acclaimed trilogy “Meditations I-II-III”, FOXTROTT announces a new chapter with “The Motion/Looking For Your Love”. The pair of songs is the first of a new series of independently-released diptychs to be rolled out over the course of the year. FOXTROTT throws away the rulebook and wants to take us along on her journey. “I love the short form of the diptych in music, where one piece resonates with the other, in a dialogue. It’s a mini-universe of its own. After a few years navigating the music industry with its ups and downs, I wanted to reconnect with spontaneity, ease and the joy of sharing music. By moving away from more rigid structures, I feel a renewed enthusiasm. Honestly, I feel like I am just getting started.” The two pieces are entirely written, interpreted and produced by FOXTROTT, with contributions by OURI on cello and harp.

FOXTROTT amorce un nouveau chapitre avec « The Motion/Looking For Your Love », faisant suite à sa trilogie « Meditations I-II-III », encensée par la critique. Cette paire de pièces musicales constitue la première d’une nouvelle série de diptyques qui sera présentée au cours de l’année. FOXTROTT fait fi des règles et nous invite à la suivre dans ce nouveau périple. « J’aime la forme courte du diptyque en musique, où une pièce résonne avec l’autre dans une sorte de dialogue. Ce sont des mini-univers en soi. Après quelques années à me frayer un chemin dans l’industrie de la musique avec ses joies et ses problèmes, je ressentais le besoin de me reconnecter avec la spontanéité, la légèreté de la forme et avec la joie de partager la musique. En m’éloignant des structures plus rigides, j’éprouve un enthousiasme renouvelé. J’ai l’impression que je ne fais que commencer. » Ces deux pièces sont entièrement composées, interprétées et produites par FOXTROTT, avec une contribution de l’artiste OURI au violoncelle et à la harpe.
