Skatman Unveils Upcoming Double EP “ Believin’ " on Cognitive Prophecy

Berlin-based, Tunisian-born DJ, producer, and label curator Skatman is starting the new year with the release of his highly anticipated double EP, “ Believin’ ", dropping on the 10th of January via his acclaimed label, Cognitive Prophecy (CP records). Known for his genre-defying sets and productions, Skatman continues shaping contemporary electronic music's soundscape with this bold new release.

'Believin’’ serves as both a showcase of Skatman’s evolution as an artist, constantly pushing boundaries with collections that span multiple genres. This double EP is structured as a journey, blending hypnotic grooves, raw textures, and dreamy harmonies across seven tracks that flow seamlessly from the dance floor to introspective listening.

The EP opens with 'Fresh’, setting the stage with a raw, dark, and industrial broken beat offering that introduces Skatman’s sonic vision. It flows into the pulsating energy of 'Merci', a track juxtaposing minimalistic melodies with rich, textured layers. 'Feel It' injects an element of 90s house, while the title track, ‘Still Believin’ featuring the Hungarian singer Gianet, anchors the EP with its soulful vocals and hypnotic rhythms.

On the second half, 'Forget It' shifts gears, offering slight acidic elements, while 'Dream On' delivers an anthemic blend of cinematic melodies, epic vocals, and icy hi-hats. The EP concludes with 'Circle of Despair (Epilogue Beatless Version)', a meditative, ambient piece that leaves listeners in a reflective state.

Stefano de Filippis, classe ’92 e nato a Roma, cresce in un ambiente fortemente influenzato dalla musica, essendo figlio di musicisti. 
I suoi primi passi sono stati nell’ House music e nella Minimal, ma con il tempo e sperimentando nuove sonorità, ha intrapreso un percorso più underground, orientandosi verso la techno. Dopo essersi diplomato alla Mat Accademy come DJ e producer, ha collaborato con etichette di rilievo quali Oscuro Music Leeds ed Experiment Records Music for Clubber. 
Il nome d’arte Redfire deriva dai suoi tratti nordici e dalla sua carica, elementi che ne definiscono l’identità musicale.

Emir Čolpa, known as Coem, was born in Sarajevo in 1996. He has shown his love for music since he was a child, so he attended music school where he learned to play the guitar.

His music is characterized by Deep, Melodic and Progressive House sounds with a touch of darker Indie Dance.

He started his DJ career in 2019 when he made his first public appearances in his hometown.  Since then, he became one of the founders of the Sarajevo Matinee and became a resident in the program of the Silver & Smoke Club.

He has shared his DJ booth with names such as Denis Horvat, Coeus, Re You, Mia Mendi and many other local and regional DJs.
