This was the very night I wrote this song. It was a Monday night in December 1980. The Patriots were  on Monday Night Football when I heard the announcement. I use ‘Across the Universe by Lennon/McCartney’ and ‘Imagine by John & Yoko Ono Lennon’ . As well as the original announcement by ABC Sports Monday Night Football.
