This song was inspired at a time when I was traveling a lot and lost touch with a lot of people in my life.  Through all that and over a few years time, I still had a childhood friend that sent an occasional letter to check in on me and I can't tell you how much it meant.  True friends are hard to come by. And each letter or postcard helped me keep moving forward no matter what I was going through.
