ASOT 469 Tune Of The Week! Arty's seen a phenomenal rise in the short 14 months since we gave him his debut release on Enhanced Progressive. "Man Of The Moment" is a term often used, but we feel there is absolutely no other way of describing the young Russian right now. Since his remix of Ferry Tayle & Static Blue's Trapeze and Tritonal's Utopia, Arty has been the producer everyone wants, and subsequent remixes for the likes of the scenes biggest names, Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert and Paul van Dyk, and his Beatport No. 1 remix of D-Mad on Enhanced Progressive has cemented his position at the top of the newcomers from the past year. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. The Original Mix falls in a similar vein to that of his last two EP's on Enhanced, whilst the Arty Remode vamps up the atmosphere with Arty's trademark power chords with rich pads and synths sending the emotion into orbit. Remixes come from two of Enhanced Prog's favourites, MoodFreak and D-Mad. MoodFreak makes a welcome return after a lengthy hiatus, and he doesn't disappoint as he pushes the track towards the progressive house pigeonhole with his sparkly synths and groovy bottom end. D-Mad rips up the rulebook and goes for an entirely fresh approach from his usual style, combining stabby synths and bleepy melodies with the wonkiest bassline we've heard in a while! X Dream should be probably my favourite Goa Trance or Psychedelic Trance or you name it Trance band. In my opinion they created truly timeless music that is completely their own, and this 'X Dream' sound, inspired so many artists, your humble servant is one of them. So I took the liberty to fiddle around with one of their finest and most gentle creations, I changed very little and used the original sounds whenever I had the chance. The only main difference is in the main break of the track.

Cold Blue’s ascension into a Trance superstar over the last two years has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has consistently delivered release after release for the world’s top Trance labels including Subculture, Kearnage, WAO138, Pure Trance and FSOE, as well as compiling and mixing the Subculture 2018 CD, which was a 70 minute club mix containing all his own productions. It is momentum like this that has now put Cold Blue in the Top 10 Trance artists on Beatport achieving three #1’s and countless Top Ten positions.
 
As a DJ his ever-increasing popularity is reflected in his touring schedule. Debut festival performances at EDC Las Vegas, Dreamstate So Cal, Tomorrowland, Airbeat One, alongside arena shows in Australia, the United States and the UK have propelled him into a position amongst the Trance elite.

2019 will see Cold Blue shift up another couple of gears again and his studio has already gone into complete overdrive. This year big releases are forthcoming on Subculture whilst there are also whispers of a debut artist album. It’s these artistic capabilities that have cemented Cold Blue as a premier league artist who has a massive part to play in shaping the future of Trance Music.
