Something must be in the waters of Moldova. Last years Universal Religion has an intro track of Andrew Rayel. This year, that honour goes to his Moldovian colleague Antony Waldhorn. A young talent, producing some of the most outstanding uplifting tunes since 2010. With the grotesque and overwhelming tune of ‘Theatrum’, he may have found his big breakthrough.

The Russian duo of Eximinds have ever had a sweet spot in Armin van Buuren’s music taste. There’s just something a bout their ways with melody… and that’s exactly why their new tune ‘Euphoria’ found its way to CD 1 of UR Chapter 7. A melodic trancers that simply lures you in.

Last but not least, this sampler brings the big boom of Aly & Fila. Their remix of Sergey Nevone & Simone O’Shines’ ‘Apprehension’ shows exactly why, after all those years, Aly & Fila still belong to the absolute top of the trance scene. Purely uplifting.

With each year of his career passing, his role in electronic dance music has become more important. If anything, he inspires music lovers with his weekly radio show. 2014 is going to be a year to remember for the Dutch DJ and his fans. Our world of music came together in sadness following the passing of Linkin Park band member Chester Bennington, who tragically ended his own life. Immediately upon the conclusion of the first weekend of Tomorrowland, the news motivated Markus Schulz towards paying tribute in his own fashion, with an emotive and melancholic remix of the classic In the End, and would be presented through the most recent Global DJ Broadcast, and on Tomorrowland's second weekend outing. A beautiful moment shared with the audience in attendance and those around the world watching, Markus offers this remix available as a free download to everyone. 

Regarding the remix, Markus says:
 
"Linkin Park was a big influence towards my music early in my career. The news of Chester's death, and the manner of it, shook me; and I wanted to pay tribute in the only way I know how. Whilst it will never equal the impact of the original, the spirit of Chester's music must be shared and celebrated."

Debuted at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebration in Hong Kong last September, A&B share this ode to the elevating power of love in several flavours: Original and Club, each a delicious serving of the songwriting chops that recently swept Above & Beyond to their second GRAMMY nomination for Common Ground album cut ‘Northern Soul’.

Says Tony McGuinness, "Flying By Candlelight is a love song about a saviour who rescues our protagonist from a dark, lonely place, taking him through a spectacular night sky. A bit like The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, but a bit longer lasting!”

Instantly recognisable, entirely unforgettable, ‘Flying By Candlelight’ is the second A&B vocal feature for Longstaff, who contributed the disarming vocal to Common Ground album cut ‘Tightrope’. More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty has risen to prominence in recent months with moving single ‘Shipyards’, penned for his home town of Sunderland, UK. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

Marking the 500th catalogue release on Anjunabeats, those who like their music in a tactile format will be able to get their hands on 1 of 500 limited vinyl pressings of the ‘Common Ground Companion’ EP, available for pre-order on the Anjuna Music Store at 5pm GMT on the 23rd of January. Excited to finally be able to announce that my new song "Twisted Act (In Memory Of Gian Gleason) will be released this November 6th, 2019 on the legendary Vandit Records.

With the passing of our dear friend Gian Gleason this June, I wanted to push myself to finish a track I had started earlier on in the year that I felt had meaning and emotion to it & that Gian would approve of. Gian was always the brightest light to enter any room he walked into & I wanted to create a happy,energetic vibe, just like Gian was best known for.

Gian will forever live in all of us & im happy that this track will be released on one of the biggest Trance music labels out there courtesy of Paul Van Dyk .

Paul has also just recently premiered "Twisted Act" on his latest Vonyc Sessions Radio Show 677. Will be sharing the preview of the track tomorrow for all who haven't heard it yet, but for now I will leave a link to it in the comments below with timestamp.

Debuted at Group Therapy Weekender 2019, Above & Beyond’s new bi-annual camping festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre outside of Seattle, this angel sounds far from heaven sent.

The unmistakable and usually strident vocal work of Richard Bedford here sounds almost plaintive and cowed, surrounded on all sides by shuddering, cascading bass. Cold Blue’s ascension into a Trance superstar over the last two years has been nothing short of extraordinary.
