This time they bring us an EP of digger delights from Frankfurt’s under the radar production trio of Manfred Holz, Michael Buchner and Jürgen Blömke. Operating under two different aliases, on the A is The Soundstealers’ revered '80s electro nugget, 'Steal It An Deal It'. The flip brings to light the obscure acid chugger ‘Amazonia’, complete with a balearic rework from London’s tropical twosome Good Block.

We are very happy to premiere the A1 'Steal It An' Deal It (The Sahara Dance Mix)' before the release of the full EP next week!

This week we're joined by the A class beat-maker Admin (@adminuk). He is known for taking inspiration in his productions from his record collection and today he gets to show off his records even further, in a wicked all-vinyl mix for us. Here's what he had to say about the mix:

"So this one is an all vinyl mix that went in a late night power Disco direction. I love Disco of an underground flavour and am heavily influenced by the styles of Ron Hardy and other amazing more current Chicago DJs. This is a kind of tribute to that sound and a gathering of 12 inch records that bring a crazy vibe for dancers. I've tried to harness the energy of being able to return to playing in the club for this... buckle up...!

Expect edit weapons, extended disco mixes, Italo heaters, jazz funk madness, electric gospel and psychedelic dance floor treasures."

Electrifying London-based label, Rhythm Labs, are back after their much anticipated second trip to the pressing plant. Carrying on from the success of their Polish House and UK Breakbeat fusion on RL001; the label now takes a deep dive into their home roots, as their sophomore release RL002 explores the sonics of both home-grown and international UK Garage.


Embodying the concept of Day & Night, the 6 track project journeys from AM to PM - wading through experimental two-step, right the way through to rough & ready 140BPM inspired rhythms from some of the most talented producers in the scene. Heywood Yorke’s Untitled kicks the record into gear with an ethereal, glistening, summer heater. Harry Felce then rips off the stabilizers on Wait A Minute - a bouncing, unrelenting chugger, guaranteed to make way for a screw-face or three. The A-side is rounded off by the prodigal man-on-the-ground, Toof, with one finger on Sweden’s dance scene pulse, and the others busy making the intricate UK dubstep-inspired Lost in Ritz.


Brighton-based producer Movement fills the role of Rhythm Labs family friend, with Angel 5 AM - a tenacious, brooding track that evolves into an effortless Grime-inspired Garage combination. Daffy - one of Bristol’s finest - further doubles down on the night-time mood of Side B, with Jamaican-UKG infusion Gunshot, driving the project into the intergalactic finale. Rudebwoy Marsl (AKA Dogpatrol) draws the project to a close, with a gritty, off-kilter representation of the genre. Experimental transitions and haunting vocal samples solidify the German native as a true innovator while handing listeners a preface to the ever-exciting future of UK Garage which Rhythm Labs will be continuing to champion in future releases.

"I've picked a lot more current stuff for this mix - although there are some classic Wah Wah favourites thrown in like the opening track by Foxy which Dom Servini gave to me many moons ago. There are a fair few bits I've got through Cold Cuts, it seemed like the right thing to do. And I've put one or two of my own edits in for good measure. I found you guys through the Harvey Sutherland release (tipped off to it and you, in fact, by Dave Koor), so that had to go in and we've finished off with something that's been a bit of a smasher for me this summer, my re-edit of Soul II Soul. “My first idea was to make a selection of 45-50 minutes long… but the more I dig, the more I realized I had to put some of me in the mix and let the vibe take control. So… i spent almost 2 hours recording. It’s all live mix, driving turntables, choosing records and drinking espresso in my store-basement studio.”

Demi Riquísimo returns to his Semi Delicious hand-stamped white label with another four impeccable disco fusion party tracks. Guitar lead ‘Shameless Progression’ follows skittering disco hats across a scape of lasers, a pulsing bassline and Italo synth business. ‘Encona’ is a summery re-edit of a foreign disco classic you'll no doubt recognise (shh..), Demi has added his naughty robotic FM bassline and some proper drum chunk to the mix, a tasteful re-hash right until the end.

Alongside the rolling drum kit samples, Demi layers cosmic lasers, 70’s clavinet and bucket loads of rolling basslines with this Afro re-edit! Vhyce’s disco chops meet retro 80’s synth arpeggios and huge filtering drops that will bring a slice of retro euphoria to your record bag.

On the flip, ‘Midnight District Line’ from Kassian takes a ride through the city with a rolling filter house workout. No unnecessary bits in this stripped back club weapon. Funky Rhodes and bright NY style 909 loops make this one primed for any time of the night.
