Sydney’s Outer Time Inner Space move from record store to record label in 2017 and they’re keeping it local with the first release. 

In 2016, Thomas McAlister AKA Cop Envy, turned in a stunning EP for UK label Opal Tapes. A percussive excursion through 3am mind melters, Thom proved his ability to craft seemingly effortless, yet undeniably entrancing club tools. 

Under new alias SEAN THOMAS, Thom extends his reach into deeper, harmonic textures. Heady melodic inflections float atop peak-time, rolling rhythmic beds in what feels like an ode to the late 90s, limited-capacity club excursions of Western Australia’s Red Ember Records, Patrice Scott’s Sistrum Recordings or the UK’s Phono label.

French electronic champions I:Cube and Chateau Flight, trendsetting DJ Raphael Top Secret and newcomers Flegon provide us with remixes of the autumn released LP 'Sphere Of Existence ' by Antoine Kogut. Where the LP explored atmospheric and experimental pop, « Remixes » gives us a four tracker that is made for the dancefloor.

On side A, Chateau Flight transforms the title track « Sphere Of Existence » into a 90’s Italo house banger while I:Cube does what he does best in his unexpected dub version.  On the B side, Raphael Top Secret reworks « Current density » into a Hip House track full of deep vibrations and newcomer band/label Flegon fulfilled their goal of working with their all time favorite French Touch pioneer label Versatile giving us a Nu-Disco remix of the song « L ‘oeillet noir ».

The Colours That Rise return for a quick lap around Earth with this special offering , "Mixtape 1" - comprising of one brand new studio production and two new compositions recorded live from the mothership in 2020 AD. 
The mixtape will be distributed on this planet via a "bandcamp" Vinyl campaign and never repressed again. 
The new record may be short but contains 3 very different moods guaranteed to take you away. 
Their Earth-based ally - Yussef Dayes, returns to the drumkit on "Special Request" for a slice of extra terrestrial, year 3000 funk. 
“Axel G” see's the team speed things up for the imminent return of clubbing to Planet Earth. The pandemic didn't reach outer space, and the martian calendar has afforded The Colours That Rise ample time to test out and refine their club dynamics: think Afrika Bambaata meets Drexciya on Mars. 
The EP is closed out with “Polo 1.2” - which sees a welcome return of Simeon Jones to vocal duties - pining for a return to his roots - "no matter which way we go". 21st Century Intergalactic home sick blues.
We hope this offering bridges the gap to the next TCTR longplayer, scheduled upon their next trip back home…
