Doscoe is the future of modern soul music: writing, rapping, singing, and producing with hopes and aspiration to touch the souls and inspire the minds of the youth. At an early age he was introduced to the creation of music through church, where he first touched a piano and also learned how to connect with hearts of people. A musical family, also heavily affected him such as his uncles Manase & Henele Latu, who initially sparked his interest in guitar and who also wrote songs back in their homeland, the islands of Tonga. Raised in the bay area, Doscoe grew to love hip-hop through his friends and the environment that surrounded him. Since the age of 15 he has written, produced, and performed hundreds of songs, and in 2009 released the album “To Become” as part of the hip-hop group, Dem Dam Tonganz, which created a buzz in the bay area and also the Polynesian community. His influences come from the greats such as: Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, and Stevie Wonder. Recently he has been actively working towards one of his main musical goals, the creation of a new genre, “Deep Rhythm”, which is a combination of roots reggae, hip-hop, and old r&b soul.
