Kurt Stevens began his musical career at the age of four when he started taking piano lessons as a young boy. Kurt continued his study of piano and music theory as a classical pianist under the tutelage of internationally renowned pianist and teacher, Mr. Harold Brown. While competing in many piano competitions around the state of Florida, Kurt won multiple national awards for his performance skills and his interpretations of the classics.

Kurt's taste in music was developed during his childhood from the music that his father had constantly playing around the house. His early influences were artists such as Johnny Cash, The Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC and his childhood idol, Elvis Presley. “I learned to sing when I was about four or five years old singing along to pretty much every Elvis song I could get my hands on” says Stevens, whose first public singing performance was at his High School talent show, in which he performed Chris Young’s “You” that earned him the winning spot. 
Around this time, Kurt saw a craigslist ad for a part-time job at a local jewelry store and took the job, working on weekends and after school in order to save up for his favorite guitar, the Gibson Songwriter Deluxe that he now plays in every show. 
As a Self-taught singer and guitarist, Kurt continued to play regularly and started to develop his country playlist that included songs by Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, and Hank Williams Jr. as well as Kenny Chesney, Johnny Cash and many other influential artists. 

Kurt is now entering his senior year at FSU where he is a member of the Dean's list in the nationally recognized business school. Kurt currently plays many shows both solo as well as with his band, "The Kurt Stevens Band." 
Kurt's solo performances as well as the Kurt Stevens Band shows continue to be one of the top acts in the Tallahassee area at venues such as Potbelly’s, Clyde’s and Costello’s, and Bullwinkle’s. Playing in front of the college crowds or in an intimate setting, Kurt's love of performing comes through with every note he plays and every song that he sings. 
As a resident of Vero Beach Florida, Kurt Stevens has also built a strong following in both South and Central Florida where he plays at the most popular venues such as his favorite, the Riverside Cafe' in Vero Beach, Capt. Hiram's in Sebastian as well the Inlet in Ft Pierce. 
In 2014, Kurt has had the privilege and pleasure to open up for the Band Perry, 
Dustin Lynch, and has played multiple times with Jake Owen. One of the highlights of 2014 was when Jake Owen came on stage and played with Kurt and his band at one of Kurt's shows at Potbelly’s in Tallahassee. 

Kurt's songwriting also flourished over the last two years. A five song demo EP has just been released in late September 2015 featuring songs such as "Makin' Moves and Movin' On, Take Me Home, and Little Black Dress.
