B&S 33 featured on SoundStreamSessions guestmix #147

This is the 9th Prog house nix I've done, and was featured on the Sound Stream Sessions mix show at #149. Very smooth mix here and one of the best so far. I am being very picky on track selection and programming now and doing my best to make sure every mix is harmonically tight and every transition is seamless and natural. I use hot cues to alter the arrangements of the tracks on the fly so that I can get more tunes on a mix and cut out any boring parts. 8 minute tracks and hour long mixes with 12 tunes on them aren't my style! But If I'm going to mix, I'm going to mix long and really let those melodies and basslines and vocals dance together, so my goal with these is to really create something new by creative melodic/harmonic mixing. Body & Soul Vol. 33 (Liquid DnB Studio Mix)

Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects". FYI! These mixes will also include some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally), or ones I just found going through back catalogues. Enjoy the mix. Bangin' It Back is a mix series I started to showcase some of the old 140 BPM techno that I played during my "heyday" as a DJ, in the early/mid 2000's. That was the techno that I loved, bangin techno! When everything slowed down and went minimal I missed it. Now it's coming back finally, and I was able to find some new tracks to put together. It was fun mixing it, and I just jammed it most of the way out, like old times. IT's more heavy on the clubby/housey side of techno, but there's some darker, grittier tunes too, and then a few electro tunes at the end. Dubtextures 7 (Dub Techno Studio Mix)

A Brand new installment in the Moodication series! I made the first one all the way back in around 2005, and I loved that mix. I've made a few more over the years. This one is mostly on the deeper side but there are some tunes that are not really proper deep house so I didn't feel right making it a Deep Roots mix, so I decided this series was a better fit. Moodication Vol 4 (House/Deep House Studio Mix)

Volume two in this series for the darker, more synthetic, dystopian, pounding underground warehouse techno. This one runs at around 143 BPM. Very happy with this one, really captures the sound I've been wanting to make a mix of for a while but it's taken me a while to accumulate enough tracks. Subtle Diversion Vol 2 (Live Hard Techno Mix)

Very happy to announce a brand new mix series following the formula established with the Re:Circulation series but this time for the Dubtextures series. Same format: Going back through the tunes I used on previous mixes to find favorites and recycle them into a brand new mix, with other tunes that never made it onto a mix, some new tunes thrown in as well. What's that wedding thing? Something old, something new, something lost, something found? Something like that! lol. This one is really good imho, very happy with it. It's on par with Dubtextures 3 and 4, which I think are the best in the series. Definitely check this one out if you liked those or if you're new to this, go back and listen to those too! Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects". FYI! These mixes will also include some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally), or ones I just found going through back catalogues. Enjoy the mix. Moodication 3: Variations On A Vibe

Colin Pierce is a 26 yr veteran DJ hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he became highly and widely respected for his skills and integrity. 

“A musical journey”
Colin is a lifetime music junky. He is the first human to be born with headphones already on! Seriously though, since 6 years of age he has been actively seeking, collecting, and enjoying, music, and that was in 1983, so you do the math! Colin had 2 bands in high school, and wrote all or much of the music for them. He started mixing records in 1998 shortly after his first rave party, and hasn't stopped, always continuing to refine his formidable technical skills and dynamic range, and always working to pursue improvement. 

Colin is going on a decade clean and sober, as of 2024, and does not play gigs often anymore, focusing on discovering God's purpose. He does it strictly for the love at this point, for the communication, the merging of minds. Having retired mostly from live performances, he is now working on refining the art of mixing, which was the first love: long mixing tracks so that they really dance together and form something new and compelling. Exploring key mixing and perfecting the seamless mix is the new fascination, as well as a rediscovered passion and appreciation for liquid drum and bass.
