For this mid-winter session, I wanted to do a callback to a winter mix series I used to do called 'Seasonal Affective Disorder' that focused on darker, more melancholy selections. First 30 or 40 minutes or so were pretty deep. In the middle section I moved into more angular sci-fi liquid and eventually into some minimal tech stuff. The middle part into the second hour might have gotten a little nastier than initially intended, but there's some cool tech rollers, some dark dubby rollers, before I smooth it out again towards the end with some liquid rollers. All in all I was pretty happy with how it turned out and I got to play some music in my collection I don't always get to play. Big up if you were there in the chat 🖤

Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects" lol. FYI! This time around I also included some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally). Enjoy the mix. It was a gloomy day in Georgia and I'm pretty sure this played into my selection choices for this session. After a couple of weeks of pretty energetic rolling sets, this one kind of took a more subdued turn. Deep and melodic liquid rollers at the beginning into some mid-energy biz, into some minimal style rollers. Threw in some tech flavored joints for the second hour as well as some grimy bassline rollers and ended with saccharine tech R&B vibes. Not a lot of the usual banter in the chat room today but the number of people who dropped in or were logged and lurking was still solid. Shouts to the new followers as well as my OG LLL gang!

Colin Pierce is a 26 yr veteran DJ hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he became highly and widely respected for his skills and integrity. 

“A musical journey”
Colin is a lifetime music junky. He is the first human to be born with headphones already on! Seriously though, since 6 years of age he has been actively seeking, collecting, and enjoying, music, and that was in 1983, so you do the math! Colin had 2 bands in high school, and wrote all or much of the music for them. He started mixing records in 1998 shortly after his first rave party, and hasn't stopped, always continuing to refine his formidable technical skills and dynamic range, and always working to pursue improvement. 

Colin is going on a decade clean and sober, as of 2024, and does not play gigs often anymore, focusing on discovering God's purpose. He does it strictly for the love at this point, for the communication, the merging of minds. Having retired mostly from live performances, he is now working on refining the art of mixing, which was the first love: long mixing tracks so that they really dance together and form something new and compelling. Exploring key mixing and perfecting the seamless mix is the new fascination, as well as a rediscovered passion and appreciation for liquid drum and bass.
