Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects" lol. FYI! This time around I also included some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally). Enjoy the mix. MEDITDNB SOULFUL SESSIONS @ INNERSENCERADIO (17-10-23)

So I took this picture of my son Elias and I a while back and thought it would make for a nice design for a mix session, did some editing then decided to put a mix together to fit the vibe of the design and this session is what came out. I think it's one of my most moving and diverse mix compositions thus far, spent a lot of time on it and truly put in my best effort to have it represent the artwork. The session rolls through some techy stuff, a fair amount of atmospheric, some jungly drums, a nice mix of uplifting tunes with a bit of a classic feel as well as a smooth section of rollers, finishing off with a couple soulful tunes from Gravity and Duoscience. On WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6th, STUNNA kicks off a brand new month of broadcasts in 'THE GREENROOM' on BASSDRIVE radio. In this week's edition, STUNNA welcomes back seasoned selector ChRiStAL to the program for an exclusive guest mix.

UK-based DJ ChRiStAL is the co-owner of prominent DRUM+BASS label SMOOTH N GROOVE RECORDS, alongside U.S.-based CLEN. The imprint is based out of NORTHAMPTON, UK and WASHINGTON, D.C., respectively.

Initially launching in MAY 2016 with their debut release, in form of JRUMHAND's 'BEACHES + COUNTRYSIDE' EP, SMOOTH N GROOVE RECORDS quickly became a revered imprint, dedicated to bringing atmospheric, funky, soulful, and rolling vibes from the best in the scene to the ears of all listeners worldwide. Since its conception, SMOOTH N GROOVE RECORDS has established a respectable place within the scene, with full support from its peers and an ever-growing fan base.

In addition to his work on the administrative side of the label, since 2018, ChRiStAL has been running a DRUM+BASS club night alongside SOUL DEEP RECRODINGS' head honcho SCOTT ALLEN,, CLEN and JOHN CROSSLAND (AKA SoulStructure). Aptly named "SOUL DEEP vs SMOOTH N GROOVE," the series features a myriad of artists from both labels performing at their events. They have also taken the "SOUL DEEP vs SMOOTH N GROOVE" brand to the west coast of AMERICA, hosting parties in LOS ANGELES at "RESPECT," and "STAMINA" in SAN FRANCISCO.

ChRiStAL - THE GREENROOM Guest Mix (Bassdrive Radio) 6th December 2023

Colin Pierce is a 23 yr veteran DJ originally from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he became highly and widely respected for his skills and integrity. 

Colin is a lifetime music junky. He is the first human to be born with headphones already on! Seriously though, since 6 years of age he has been actively seeking, collecting, and enjoying, music, and that was in 1983, so you do the math! Colin had 2 bands in high school, and wrote all or much of the music for them. He started mixing records in 1998 shortly after his first rave party, and hasn't stopped, always continuing to refine his formidable technical skills and dynamic range, pushing the limits of technology and experimentation in the tradition of jazz improvisationalists. Always live, never rehearsed or pre-planned, colin is the dj's dj, and is highly respected by all those who know him or have ever seen him do his thing. Colin is working on 6 years clean and sober, and does not play gigs often anymore, focusing on discovering God's purpose. He does it strictly for the love at this point, for the communication, the merging of minds. Enjoy the mixes, and drop a comment so he can return the favor! Peace!
