Reinier Zonneveld - Things We Might Have Said (feat. Cari Golden)

The Swedish artist Louise Lemón has a sound that is described as death gospel. Highly intense, soulful with intimate lyrics. When playing live she evokes a massive, fateful sound with only a few ingredients consisting of pounding drums, organs and screeching guitar.
With raving reviews for the live shows one of the biggest newspapers in Sweden, Dagens Nyheter, called her the answer to the future music and Folkbladet was completely knocked out, describing her voice as black as the sin, clear as a fjord.
The EP Purge which is expected to be released early 2017 on the Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art was recorded in a cabin in the deep woods of Dalarna and then mixed by Randall Dunn (Thurston Moore, Sunn o))), Earth) in the iconic Avast studios in Seattle, US.
The first single Thirst is debuing together with a music video recorded in Barcelona together with the production team 389. Louise has been based in Barcelona for quite a while, making it her second home.

'Severed Logic' is the first single taken from Half Waif's form/a EP, which launches February 24, 2017. 

form/a is a collection of tracks that expand on Nandi Rose Plunkett's exploration of home. “There's an inherent restlessness in the way that I write and think about sound," she explained. "I'm the daughter of a refugee, and somewhere in me is this innate story of searching for a home. As a result, I have many – a collection of places that I latch onto, that inspire me, that fuse themselves to me. I'm sentimental, nostalgic – yet constantly seeking what’s next, excavating the sound of my past and coloring it to make the sound of my future. I'm a child of divorce, fiercely loved but forced into independence at a young age; I rocket into relationships with the desire to find roots, commonality, to create stillness in the midst of public noise. In this way, my songs are like the notes of a large scavenger hunt, clues pinned to trees I have known, or tucked under rocks on my path, urging the listener to keep looking a little deeper, because maybe they will find something special in the end.”

form/a will be released on a limited-edition 12”. Art for the cover was shot by Aidan Carlo and hand-stitched by Chilean artist, María Aparicio Puentes.

Pöllöt on syksyllä 2012 perustettu turkulainen rokkibändi. Pöllöjen soittajat (Jaakko Tolvi, Janne Kauppinen, Markus Jalonen, Jukka Herva, Aleksi Friman) ovat vaikuttaneet muun muassa yhtyeissä Jarse, Lau Nau, Rauhan Orkesteri, The New Tigers, Kiila, Tv-resistori, Barry Andrewsin disko, Goodnight Monsters ja Kauppilan puutarha.

Pöllöt -yhtyeen tavoitteena on ensisjaisesti  soitella ja pitää hauskaa yhdessä.Ensimmäinen levy ilmestyi syksyllä 2014 Fonal Recordsin julkaisemana ja herätti melkoista kiinnostusta. Toinen albumi Metsäpalo äänitettiin keväällä ja kesällä 2015 mm. Jarse ja Shogun Kunitoki -yhtyeissä vaikuttavan Jari Suomisen johdolla turkulaisessa Äänikuva-studiossa.

Pöllöjen musiikissa soivat rokin perinteet, rytmimusiikin vaikutteet,, psykedeliakin. Toisen levyn laulujen aiheita ovat muun muassa lapsuuden tulitikkuleikit, nuoruus, kerrostaloelämä, kuolema, jatkoilla nuokkuminen, enkelitaulut. Levyllä kuullaan kolmea eri laulajaa (Tolvi, Kauppinen, Herva), rokkaamista, kitarasooloja, melodioita, tarinoita.
