Put together all of my favourite 90’s Tinrib records releases, I was really into this hard trance / hard house / acid trance record label during this time & I hope you can hear why!

Everyone was playing this label at every major rave during the mid to late 90’s, DJ’s like Tony De Vit (Rip), Mark EG, Steve Thomas & Captain Tinrib to name a few. 

The early hard trance / hard house sound, the track naming & art work creativity of each ep is so unique to the label, it really gave it that stand out quality & appeal to DJ’s & Ravers alike.

Megabyte was the finest Hard House event in Essex during the late 90s and early 2000s. It brought everyone together once a month for an absolute stomp fest of a rave. Pete Blackett, everyone’s favourite Megabyte DJ (probably! 😊), has come out of retirement and dusted off his vinyl and decks to give us BB4Ls a special Megabyte themed guest mix, we thought it only fair to join him in this new mini-series….

This mix is a set that Pete would have played at the events back in the day. He has used his personal vinyl collection to create this, including some hidden gems that would certainly have got the dancefloor bouncing!!

We have agreed to withhold the track list for the initial period, to recreate that feeling from back in the day of not knowing what you’re going to hear in each DJs set, with the excitement you’d get hearing a little sample or stab from the new tune as it came in….

Megabyte & the Mysterious Monkeys: Pete Blackett [90s 00s Hard House]

Megabyte & the Mysterious Monkeys: Big Ry [90s 00s Hard House]

Been caining Vol 1 and loads of tunes I wanted to put on it, so did one that was a little tougher full of all the music I grew up listening to and also a selection of promos from yesteryear I wanted the right time to play again.
