Balencia began dipping her toes into the electronic music scene back in the early 90s at progressive house and underground clubs in Ontario, Quebec, and Vancouver, but it wasn’t until 1999 on the beaches of Southeast Asia that she fell into a deep trance. For the past 25 years, she has become known as a gatherer of the people, a purveyor of the party, a dedicated dancefloor fixture, and a collector of magnetic music. Her taste has been influenced heavily by the European progressive festival scene throughout years of adventures in Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, and by times passing through Goa during her long life in India. She is transfixed by the power of lyricless, complex layers and pulsating beats to create hypnotic journeys, expand and elevate human consciousness, unify and connect people from diverse ancestral origins, and contribute to world peace. Her collection spans downtempo, psybient, afro house, deep progressive house, tech house, minimal, deep tech, progressive trance, psychedelic, and more.

Tranzekno is a merger of ideas, motifs, styles, and sounds where the common ground is the underground. Blurring the lines between genres is something of a passion of mine and you can hear it throughout the music I share. This project is only a hobby for me with the main objective being to get ears on music they would never have heard otherwise. All I hope is you enjoy the music I share as much as I enjoy looking for it and putting together the mixes.
