Synatec

She's a French-born, Amsterdam-based DJ & Producer with a rich history in electronic music. While studying Arts in Paris she became vastly influenced by artists like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, and EBM bands, she began DJing in the mid-90s, with her early sound shaped by labels like R&S and Warp. Her career took off in Paris, where she explored international industrial sounds. She later co-founded the B.A.S.S. collective, which was one of the first all-female DJ groups, inspiring many women in the rave scene.

Synatec's journey includes various DJ aliases, such as Witchcraft for Hardcore Techno and Nuala for Jungle/Drum'n Bass. She gained success in the Benelux, Germany, and Israel, and B.A.S.S performed at the renowned Lowlands festival. After a brief hiatus, she returned to Drum’n Bass in Amsterdam, followed by a shift back to her Techno and Electro roots. During the pandemic, she pursued certification in Electronic Music Production and relaunched her career through live streams and events.

In 2024, Synatec joined the DAMN TECHNO organization, organizing events to unite old-school and new-school techno communities. Her style is versatile, blending UK Breaks, Jungle, Techno, Hardcore, and Electro. Recently, she released "Limbo" on Da Traxx Recordings PARIS and had upcoming projects like “Missing Pieces” on Cherry Juice Recordings. Synatec continues to perform across Europe, including residencies in Amsterdam.

Synatec est une DJ et productrice d'origine française basée à Amsterdam, forte d'une riche expérience dans la musique électronique. Durant ses études d'arts plastiques à Paris, elle a été fortement influencée par des artistes comme Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode et des groupes d'EBM. Elle a commencé à mixer au milieu des années 90, son style étant influencé par des labels comme R&S et Warp. Sa carrière décolle à Paris, où elle explore les sonorités industrielles internationales. Elle cofonde ensuite le collectif B.A.S.S., l'un des premiers groupes de DJ exclusivement féminins, inspirant de nombreuses femmes de la scène rave.

Le parcours de Synatec comprend différents pseudonymes, tels que Witchcraft pour la techno hardcore et Nuala pour la jungle/drum'n bass. Elle a connu le succès au Benelux, en Allemagne et en Israël, et B.A.S.S s'est produite au célèbre festival Lowlands. Its time for another Quadrasphere and once again, its another very special one. We are extremely blessed to welcome Cousin Silas to our series, and he does not disappoint. He has carefully crafted a mix of all his own material, including some edits made exclusively for us and his mix. Cousin Silas has been producing music, both electronically and acoustically for a very long time, and he also is one of the biggest champions of other producers, inspiring many collaborations and projects, primarily through his Cousin Silas Emporium. His music is a regular feature during the ambient intro's to our Dub Exploration shows, and its clear to see why. We thank him again for his time and wonderful mix. Please check his work here:

"Not sure if some of the edits could indeed be classed as exclusives, in truth they have been created just for this mix, so??? A Sprig Of Rowen, Anemoa 2-1, and Emporium Drone 018 haven't been released yet, so depending on when this mix sees the light of day, that may well have changed, but as of creating this, it's true that they are unreleased!
The times are as close as dammit, have to be honest I've never been able to work out how to do time stamps, but like I say, the times in the list above are close.

Super Enjoy. A relatively new label on the scene, this crew is moving from Singapore to the world. With seven strong releases since the start of 2024, they've already well and truly shaped their sound and forged a prominent position in Asia and on dancefloors across the globe. Their diverse, yet distinct, style spans smoked-out, dub-infused house and techno, and playful breaks, featuring works from artists like Bongoman, emanon, Sigmoid FM, Kross Section, and Dexter Colt.

Dexter Colt is a dedicated selector, whose passion for digging up and platforming new sounds is in plain sight with his work on Singapore’s Darker than Wax and Super Enjoy. He's on a mission to discover music daily and bring emerging artists to the forefront - and it's time we do the same for him. He's no stranger to NYC, the home of Delayed, where he regularly joins Marco Weibel’s monthly Darker Than Wax show on the city’s The Lot Radio, hosting guests whose styles and energies span all corners of the music scene.

Today we’re highlighting a new track of his ‘The Sleeper Must Awaken’, off the Super Enjoy co-founder’s debut solo EP, ‘Mesmeric’. And mesmeric is a perfect word for the track. It’s dancefloor-focused with a hypnotic pull, an ambient touch, and deep, dusty, levitating basslines. Every track on the EP oozes personality. This is a refreshing new discovery, and definitely one to keep a close eye on for home listening or to get people moving.

‘Mesmeric’ is released digitally on October 24th.
