OVER TIME, DEMONIC ENTITIES MADE THEIR WAY INTO THE TITANS’ WORLDS FROM THE TWISTING NETHER AND THE PANTHEON ELECTED ITS GREATEST WARRIOR SARGERAS, TO ACT AS ITS FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE. A NOBLE GIANT OF MOLTEN BRONZE, SARGERAS CARRIED OUT HIS DUTIES FOR COUNTLESS MILLENNIA, SEEKING OUT AND DESTROYING THESE DEMONS WHEREVER HE COULD FIND THEM. OVER THE EONS, SARGERAS ENCOUNTERED TWO POWERFUL DEMONIC RACES, BOTH OF WHICH WERE BENT ON GAINING POWER AND DOMINANCE OVER THE PHYSICAL UNIVERSE.

THE EREDAR, AN INSIDIOUS RACE OF DEVILISH SORCERERS, USED THEIR WARLOCK MAGICS TO INVADE AND ENSLAVE A NUMBER OF WORLDS. THE INDIGENOUS RACES OF THOSE WORLDS WERE MUTATED BY THE EREDAR’S MALEVOLENT POWER AND TURNED INTO DEMONS THEMSELVES.

THOUGH SARGERAS’ NEARLY LIMITLESS POWERS WERE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DEFEAT THE VILE EREDAR, HE WAS GREATLY TROUBLED BY THE CREATURES’ CORRUPTION AND ALL-CONSUMING EVIL. The third compilation (of four instalments) in the Various Artists catalogue of Pi Electronics is hitting physical and digital stores around the globe on the 10th of February 2023. 

The concept of releasing artists, who performed at π parties (2014-2019) along with musicians who stood close to the label before and during its activity, gathers 18 tracks to the Limitation Compilation. 

Music by New York City industrial legend Adam X, Swedish master mind producer Peder Mannerfelt  and Irish Techno figure, Eomac (also one half of Lakker) finally takes its place on the label catalogue, along with tracks by the electro side of Italian born producer, Alessandro Adriani and the sound-aesthetic of UK hailing musicians, Slave to Society (formerly AnD ) and Sam KDC. 
Berlin artists Alekzandra and Interviews appear with a synth leaning piece, and a hypnotic, broken techno contribution respectively. 
You can also meet the sound of Tel Aviv’s finest electro duo TV.OUT on this release, which also includes a rare collaboration track by Ireen Amnes and Gramrcy. 
Finally, ‘Limitation’ presents music by Greece affiliated acts of different backgrounds: from the dreamy guitars of Monochromatic Visions and the ambient/drone of Devika, to the broken beats of Zevla and Ønly, as well as the rolling techno of Thanos Hana. Not to mention the textures of noise band Phallucipher, the industrial slo mo techno of Thessaloniki’s, Archaic Intellect, and the noise-techno of label founder, 3.14. 

A crossroad of different genres and production styles is offered in the formats of Double Vinyl Sampler, Double CD and digital for this compilation, titled “Limitation”.

"Weapons of the weak is a mysterious tribute to fallen warriors from the future. It revolves around the idea of everyday resistance in the face of hopelessness, made by common people, using the means available to them.

'Extinct' is a blurred, obscure warning that culminates with the forecast of extinction. Despite the evident hopelessness that this warning brings, it is accompanied by an homage to those too weak to change the course of events, but that nevertheless tried. 'Picking quarrels and provoking trouble' is the crime that citizen journalist Zhang Zhan was accused of when reporting on the Wuhan outbreak. Citizen journalists were one of the sources of uncensored information during the outbreak in China. She was convicted to four years in prison, where she remains as of 2022. 'Murderous femmes' is an homage to survivors of partner violence. It reflects a profound disappointment in a system that often fails to protect women. It is inspired by the stories of women who fought back and killed their long-time abuser, with some ending in prison. 'Alexander Navalny' samples moments of the arrest of the former Russian politician who stepped into the spotlight by reporting on corruption in Russia. After a failed murder attempt during a flight, and returning to Russia, he was arrested. As of 2022, Alexander Navalny remains in prison. 'Luanda leaks' twists samples of one interview of the hacker Rui Pinto. Rui Pinto released several documents that contained evidence that Isabel dos Santos, once Africa's wealthiest woman, has profited from two decades of corruption in Angola. These documents also showed that this would not be possible without the aid of western firms and individuals. Despite being a resource-rich country, more than half of Angola's population still lives below the poverty line."

"The System" is inspired by the deconstructivist movement and the creative strategies and concepts that it has developped in order to create radical architectural forms, those were transposed in the music context by 6SISS in order to build and de(con)struct the tracks forming this EP.

Belgian Peter Adriaenssens aka 6SISS has been keeping a steady output of releases since several years on labels such as legendary electronic imprint R&S Records. He delivers bruising off kilter rhythms stagger and lurches in mesmerizing ways that undercut the 4:4 hegemony, confusing and delighting dancefloors in equal measure.
