One of the most iconic bands of the 2000's, "Coldplay," has always been able to write emotional yet incredibly catchy full band records.  With over 8 million albums sold in the year it was released their album "X&Y" quickly became one of the most iconic releases in the band's history.  
     
McLoughlin's rendering of "Fix You," from that X&Y album provides an innovative face lift for the 2005 hit.  While maintaining the emotion and simplicity of the original throughout the vocal sections Collin takes the listener on a melodic journey, building the song steadily into a catchy glitch vocal driven drop.   With melodic bass swells and robotic one shots that supplement the simplicity of the verses in a unique way, McLoughlin "Fix You," remix is a refreshing take on a classic pop record.

The first time Martin heard this song on the radio, he called me (Tristan) up and was like, "you HAVE to hear this new song by Alessia Cara! It has this dope 'ay ay ay ahhh' vocal chant in the chorus!" Right away, we thought about how awesome it would be to remix it. Then about a week later, our manager emailed us the track (without knowing how much we liked it) and asked us if we wanted to take a stab at it. No brainer.

Anyways, we had so much fun making this remix! We made a crazy vocal chop in the drop, I played a little guitar, and it was our first time working with a rap. Hope you guys like it, and if you do, PLEASE give it a heart on HypeM. Thanks!

neutral.  Fun Fact: When I was 12 years old, I had an interesting medical emergency.  I couldn’t fall asleep due to a severe pain in my abdomen. My parents were concerned due to the fact that the pain was near my appendix, so they took me to the hospital. I was in the hospital all night/morning and the doctors couldn’t figure out what was causing the pain. The last test they did was as follows:
1)	get on the table on my hands and knees.
2)	Lean my body back
3)	Flex my abdomen
I farted. Then I felt better. My mom wasn’t very happy about the hospital bill.
