GRåZON — off the radar #23 w/ Daniel.

November's full moon was particularly close to earth this year, making it a Supermoon. Under this Supermoon's light, the weekend was spent in company of friends whom we shared Japan adventures with; and we couldn't help but try to capture one of our best memories from there and bring it to you. 

For the 52nd page of Selene Series we re-recorded a mix recreating what we played at Bonobo Bar in Tokyo for the yearly Astral Industries get together (thank god for Recordbox's history feature).   In an attempt to be as faithful as we could to that night, we did not even touch the EQs. For that event, the menu was a selection of the most abstract ambient pieces, call it sound art, concrete, avant garde, drone... and slowly moving to a more melodic "hug me" soundbed tone. 

Press play, sit down, imagine you are in a tatami sipping on Oolong high surrounded by friends and smiles.

Alexander Berg and Robin Jonsson – best known by their monikers Dorisburg (@alexanderberg) and @kalawila – have been friends for a decade but collaborators for barely a moment. What has emerged so far from this is quite something: rhythmic yet immersive, capricious yet lucid, Avancera is the electronic sound of tomorrow.

Driven to create music that combines their two unique spheres of inspiration, yet exists in a single, almost-mythical universe, Avancera demonstrates what can result when virtuoso visions collide, combine, and ultimately synchronise.

This very special Patterns of Perception 52 precedes Avancera’s world-first performance at Patterns of Perception on 28 June at OHM Berlin.
