Welp, my first attempt at a classic styled remix. There are some people who did their take on a classic sky babylon, but I wanted to do my own take on this and see how it would turn out and stuff. Hope you guys enjoy! This was fun to do!

This is my arrangement of the Mount Wario theme, taken from the soundtrack of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, and originally composed by Shiho Fujii, Atsuko Asahi, Ryo Nagamatsu, and Yasuaki Iwata for Nintendo. This is my favorite from the entire OST, it's magnificently set up as a multi-parts race backing song, and has this speed vibe that pumps you up !

I had the great pleasure to work with 3 other musicians on this one : I first asked Matthew Mukerjee, from Tetrimino if I was okay to play bass, and we quickly discussed adding more live instruments, namely violin, which would be played by Michaela Nachtigall, also from Tetrimino, and brass, by Marc Papeghin ! On the mastering side, this time I left the song into the hands of one of my local friends, who runs Studio Karma in Marseilles. The project took a few months to reach total completion, but heck it was worth it. Enjoy !

Part 2 of the assignment. So the secret is, aside from having parts sync to points in the level, there are 3 genres corresponding to how well Sonic is doing. This is when Sonic is tearing up the level, wherease a 3rd iteration, "Be Groovy" will correspond to when Sonic screws up/gets hit/etc.

I've spent since literally the start of the year coming up with the concept of tying interactivity to how well Sonic is performing. Imagine to my amazement when the Sonic Generations demo came out, and the exact same thing was being done by Sonic Team (listen to Modern Green hill playthroughs - when Sonic boosts, the drums go double-time)

I think I was pretty elated and disappointed at the same time. Elated in the sense that great minds think alike, and disappointed that what I'd intended to be an original concept has been 'done already', even though the game releases today. Oh well. Live and Learn.

Really though, this is a remix that was supposed to be featured in MOBIUS - Sonic The Hedgehog Remixed by Materia, but was cut out due to my PC freaking out in the night of the deadline. I managed to recover and finish it up now, rather lazily. Either way, enjoy~
