Where the track stumbles is in its reluctance to fully commit to either retro fetishism or bold reinvention; it’s smooth, but risks fading into the algorithmic haze of SoundCloud’s "vintage Japanese" playlists. Still, as a mood piece, it succeeds; the outro’s whispered "OUR SMILES" lingering like a half-remembered dream.
