A late night piano playing improvisation session lead me to making this track. Once my daughter heard it, she said it reminds her of her "sunshine joy club" she and her friends created. So I named this one Sunrise which is also the community where my grandparents met and lived much of their lives.

So if you’re anything like me you’ve been counting the days, waiting on the summer for a good 6 months now, getting your hopes up every time it’s over 30 degrees for a day that long afternoons on the beach are right around the corner, and this song is the soundtrack to that…

This was one of those tracks that I heard for the first time and instantly knew I wanted to remix it. VHS Collection is an amazing up and coming band out of NYC (my hometown too) who are making some great indie rock/pop and between the lyrics and the overall vibe this was a big tropical remix waiting to happen.  I tried to blend a groovy indie vibe on the verses with a huge, melodic, in your face drop, and I’m super happy with how this one turned out.  Enjoy this one how it’s meant to be enjoyed…fully loaded with your face up in the clouds 😃
