Finnish producer Datskie brings his exemplary prog house wizardry to the fore this week on a mesmerising two-track EP. 'Europa' is built around a deep, heavy bassline and otherworldly wailing synths, and Datskie describes the track as being 'inspired by cosmic insignificance, how small we are compared to large heavenly bodies in the vastness of space'. Meanwhile on 'Connection' he embraces gorgeous melodic house textures, crafting an emotive atmosphere through dazzling melodies, airy vocal pads and driving beats.

Datskie's unique sound blends dream-like sonics and soul-searching melodies. He describes his core impulse as that of 'creation' and draws much inspiration from the natural world. Each of Datskie's tracks tells its own unique story, and in his live performances, he weaves them together to create interlinked melodic journeys.

Originally from Helsinki but currently based in Amsterdam, Datskie has made ripples in the electronic music scene with numerous releases on Colorize (Enhanced) and has received DJ and radio support by artists like Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Tritonal, Hernan Cattaneo, Don Diablo, Sultan + Shepard, and Estiva.
