Crowd Control has been heading up Happiness Therapy since 2018, flying the flag for France’s underground music scene ever since. There are few events on our calendar each year more significant than a Shingo Nakamura release. The Japanese veteran, whose contributions to our imprint have spanned the 2010s, leaves an indelible mark on the listener with each new production, courtesy of a signature brand of progressive house that is both elegant and emotive. His latest, "Always," was first previewed in his own mix, on last year's "Only Silk 04" compilation. It's now available for the first time as a full, DJ-friendly single.

Shingo crafts a gorgeous, almost "primitive" atmosphere in the early going, backed by a soothing prog-deep rhythm. At the quarter turn, a full-bodied bassline cuts through the mix, and the titular "Always" vocal hook makes its first appearance. Delicate and evocative background melodies add further texture, leading into the main break, where a gorgeous new theme appears. This is the moment that Shingo Nakamura fans have so deeply cherished over the years: the climactic new theme, coupled with a light breakbeat, is nothing short of breathtaking.

As we inch closer to the release date of Aeron Aether's artist album, "Landscapes & Dimensions," it is our great thrill to reveal the second single, "Falling," featuring fellow Hungarian talent Sebastian on vocals. Ultimately, the song's anthemic refrain, "Falling down to the deep," offers an emotional climax, matched by Aether's equally poignant concluding instrumental section. 

Ukrainian sensation Hexlogic, who emerged in 2017 as one of the brightest new recruits to our roster, offers a deliciously deep and groovy remix. Focusing on the dark, almost subterranean atmospheric elements of the original, Hexlogic crafts a dynamic and resonant bassline, which chugs along and effectively carries the tune to the main break, with only a few subtle, yet incisive melodic variations on the original themes accompanying it. In the breakdown itself, the drums completely drop out, and the listener is suddenly treated to the most memorable hook from Sebastian's chorus, "Falling down to the deep," with hypnotic string effects also along for the ride. When the groove reappears, you can almost visualize anthropomorphic stalactites and stalagmites bopping along to the beat.

Colorize brings you the second sampler from Volume Two of Colorscapes!

Released in October 2020, Colorscapes Volume Two saw PRAANA, Dezza and Matt Fax bring three thrilling mixes to the fore, showcasing some of the hottest acts in the worlds of melodic, progressive and deep house. 

Sampler Two brings you six more of the compilation's highlight cuts, starting with two Dezza remixes - Vancouver producer Bryn Liedl puts his spin on 'Cosmos', the eponymous track from Dezza's 2019 album, reworking it into a driving, emphatically upbeat romp, and British producer djimboh keeps things dreamy and polished on his remix of recent Dezza single 'Getaway'. 

We also see Colorize debuts from a host of exciting artists - the pairing of producers Fløa and OAI conjure up a melancholic prog production with 'You Are', and Morgin Madison and Meeting Molly join forces for the airy and ethereal 'Step By Step'. 

Jackarta impress with 'Hang Loose', a soothing, spaced out production that finds an exceptional balance between deep and progressive, and ANUQRAM and Eugene Becker close proceedings with invigorating track 'Lavaredo'.
