Nils Hoffmann shares the next single, ‘Holding Me Back’, from his forthcoming album ‘Running In A Dream’. The single features vocals by Australian singer-songwriter The Kite String Tangle.

Moulded by German electronic music culture and his own classical training, music has always been a part of Nils’ life. Embarking on his musical journey at the age of 16, Nils swiftly gained a wealth of experience to draw upon. To date, the 27-year-old produacer has amassed over 120 million streams on his music catalogue and performed at renowned venues, including Printworks London, the Brooklyn Mirage, and The Gorge Amphitheatre.

Nils’ forthcoming album, Running In A Dream, follows the release of his sophomore album, A Radiant Sign, which launched on Anjunadeep last year. The album achieved remarkable feats, amassing an impressive 24 million streams to date and gaining radio support from leading platforms, including BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM Chill, and KCRW. It soared to the top spot on iTunes Dance charts upon release and quickly garnered support from artists including Maceo Plex, Joris Voorn, and Eelke Kleijn. In 2023, Above & Beyond were the only British DJs to sell out two consecutive nights at Printworks as part of the iconic London venue’s closing season. They recently made a return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to helm two shows alongside label stars from Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep and made an appearance at Insomniac's Escape Halloween festival in California.

Genix and flowanastasia release ‘Dependent On You’, out now on Anjunabeats.

Accomplished DJ and producer Damion 'Damo' Houchen, a.k.a. Genix, has kept momentum high since the release of his debut album, ‘199X’, in 2021. Recent years have seen the Anjunabeats linchpin close Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge Amphitheatre, launch his club-oriented ‘Warehouse55’ EP series and event brand, and sell out two headline Warehouse 55 events in London and Los Angeles. 

Genix’s last EP on Anjunabeats, ‘Warehouse55 (Volume 2)’, earned support from Sasha, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Rebūke, Armin van Buuren and more. He followed that up last year with an extensive North American tour, as well as with remixes of Andrew Bayer & Vök’s ‘No Silence’ and OceanLab’s ‘Beautiful Together’. 

Born in Ukraine, raised in Toronto, vocalist flowanastasia has been writing and recording music for over a decade. Growing up studying classical piano and singing in choirs, her vocals have graced releases on established labels like Critical, RAM, Shogun, Liquicity, MODUS, Viper and more.

‘Dependent On You’ is an exhilarating fusion of early-rave euphoria and Genix’s unmistakably modern approach to production, where flowanastasia’s vocals light up ravey synth stabs and vintage breakbeats. At a time when the UK club scene is embracing the euphoric energy of 90s rave, their collaborative debut is a track perfectly suited for the here and now.
