DES3ETT is making his debut on Smash Deep, transferring his skills from the electronic house scene to the progressive world with ‘Deep Diving’. 

This progressive house stomper gives you a feeling like no other! The simple ease of the track’s introduction already represents escapism, becoming lost in the music. DES3ETT'S use of the vocal sang by renowned US vocalist Alicia Madison is breath-taking as he gives it a greater feeling working with the tone and placing each lyric in the right moment. The contrast of sounds ‘Deep Diving’ creates, emerging from left to right, the track seamlessly moves from one section to another to a build that is empowering, taking you on a rollercoaster of a ride. The attention to detail and knowing when to push the track to its limit, specifically with the drums, give’s it high intensity. ‘Deep Diving’ portrays a range of emotions, that makes it one you will have on repeat. 

DES3ETT has propelled his way into the electronic music scene producing not only his special designed hat but producing his own unique music and gaining world-renown support from Afrojack, Tiësto, Showtek, David Guetta and many others. An artist with a cast-iron reputation within the underground dance fraternity, GMJ continues to chart a stratospheric upwards trajectory with an ever-growing production portfolio. Now returning to Proton Music, the Australian star presents a pair of new tracks through his "Rise Above" EP.

A Particles and Proton Music veteran with a stellar cast of original and remix material over both labels, Gavin Griffin continues to provide the flagship imprint with a regular supply of increasingly high-quality music that saw "Sovereign Reality" and "Catharsis" released in October 2017 and May 2019. Now returning with his third solo original EP, the title track is a typically sumptuous offering that is characterised by a head-shaking groove and expertly crafted bassline that evolves imperceptibly over time. Through a panoply of white-noise effects, multi-layered pads and subtle synth phrasing, "Rise Above" reaches a rousing denouement with spine-tingling moments expertly placed throughout. Continuing the atmospheric narrative of its predecessor, "Unbound Reality" finds free-flowing melodies meandering across its 7-minute voyage alongside intermittent vocal sample. Wrapped delicately around a crisp rhythmic shell, syncopated motifs and powerful beat are the perfect juxtaposition to the unencumbered melody.

Another Proton regular sees Simos Tagias return to the label after a remix of LADS in January 2021. Responsible for 2017's "Airlock" and 2018's "Audacity", the Greek producer has also presided over a clutch of high-profile remixes for the likes of Tim Penner and Soulwerk, while also being remixed by such esteemed names as James Monro and Petar Dundov. Once again hitting new heights, the Simos Tagias remix of "Rise Above" is a bold, pulsating affair that uses the themes central to GMJ's original and reframes them within a powerful new rhythmic framework. Using organic house inspired vocal phrasing, new melodies appear at the stripped-back breakdown before a refined arpeggiated sequence gives shifts aural focus in the second half.

A veteran of the underground dance scene, Savvas is another artist with a long-established connection with electronic music. After a 2011 debut for Bellboy Records, Savvas has found himself featuring on Sag & Tre, Magician On Duty and Anjunadeep. The "Mindfulness" EP was a notable Particles highlight in early 2019 while a remix of Rick Pier O'Neil's "Earth Mover" in July 2017 and a full debut EP to follow, mark an impressive emergence on Proton Music. Reworking "Unbound Reality", the wandering melodic lines of the original are complemented by a glittering arpeggiated sequence, revealed in the second movement, and extending into the beatless breakdown. Additional melodic phrases from the Savvas studio lilt delicately in the second half accompanied in seamless fashion with GMJ original components. The resultant sonic tapestry is a joy to behold.

Creating a new twin-track offering of unparalleled pedigree with contributions from Simos Tagias and Savvas, GMJ continues to "Rise Above" with impressive regularity.

Since making his label debut on Explorations 07 in 2018, Marsh has solidified himself as a budding label favourite and future star. Championed by the likes of Joris Voorn, Kolsch, and Phil Taggart at BBC Radio 1, Marsh now continues his impressive run with the ‘Eu Topos’ EP.

Marsh’s tapestry of melodic sound-design is on full show, characteristically weaving driving bass and groove-laden percussion in ‘Eu Topos’ and ’Sit Tight’, and demonstrating his penchant for nostalgic melodies in ‘Joy’. Another fantastic standalone release, ‘Eu Topos’ signals some big things to come for 2020.

Marsh Feat. Mimi Page - Eu Topos

After making a massive debut with Rinzen last year on Yoshitoshi, Enamour is back with another collaborator, Nox Vahn, for a special two track EP, which includes a remix from German up-and-comers GNTN. Enamour and Nox Vahn deliver two enormous originals that would sound as fitting in Black Rock City as in Watergate. The title track is built around giant pad swells and complex, percussive grooves which take their time to envelop you in an astounding mixture of sound and space. “Dilemma” is a bit deeper, making use of a catchy, Phrygian-based melody that is equal parts exotic and exciting. It’s the perfect playa track and is sure to be all over BPM and Tulum this year. Finally, GNTN rounds things out with a swirling remix of “Sleep Paralysis,” turning the original into a more laid-back groover for building energy. We’re very excited to kick off 2020 with Enamour back on Yoshitoshi and with Nox Vahn and GNTN making their label debuts. Enjoy!

Anjunadeep warmly welcomes Simon Doty for his standalone label debut with stellar double cut 'Sonoma / Luna’. 

Following releases on Einmusika and Last Night On Earth, Doty first appeared on Anjunadeep Explorations 11 with 2019’s collaboration with Zein ‘Sama’. This time around the Toronto-based producer teams up with Ezequiel Arias on the arpeggio-laden ’Sonoma’, contrasting it’s fluttering instrumentation with the dark addictive bassline found in ‘Luna’.

A fairly new name to the Anjunadeep catalogue, Simon Doty's penchant for driving melodic house foretells a huge 2020 for the Calgary-native.
